Seagate ST1000LM014 1TB SATA_6_0_GB Laptop Solid State Hybrid Drive

Bought for my PS4 console as OEM was giving filesystem errors. I read reviews for the disk on Amazon.com and then went with the purchase. The disk was delivered in sealed anti-static pouch with packing material around it in a box. It was not in original box of manufacturer. I exchange the disk in PS4 and copied the data from backup. The initial boot was smooth and all seemed fine. Over time the disk logic seem to have optimized the data storage layout in SSD part as those games that I play often do have a low load/unload time. The console now does boot up fast and games load faster.

Product was delivered in good condition. Did a Acronis disk check up which showed 100% health. Installed on lenovo y50 laptop and the disk has given no problems. Laptop runs like a pro now.....so after a week of installation....no complaints.

Product is awesome and faster than usual 5400rpm sata..But the product was not well packed and also it took more time than usual for the product to reach the given destination..

I upgraded my Mac Pro mid 2012 model with this HDD. I was a little sceptical with the reviews, but so far no issues. The machine has no doubt become faster and the drive is noiseless. Packaging from seller was without a box and checking on Seagate site for warranty clarified any doubts about its authenticity.

The hard disk is faster than my old one. Even the boot time has increased tremendously. Works very with Linux, haven't tried on Windows yet

Good product. After switching on and shutting down my laptop, the boot time was considerably improved. Now my laptop boots in 10-15Sec.

I physically installed this drive within 5 minutes into my 4 year-old ASUS laptop. The original, not-so-solid, drive was irreparably damaged through an encounter with the floor, despite its protection inside my computer. An OEM version of Linux Mint 18 (Sarah) was successfully installed in another 20 minutes or so, updated with an extra few desired apps, and has been happily running since. Regrettably, not all Windows-based software I wanted installed would run on the open-source windows emulator for Linux [aka "Wine"] but it has otherwise been quite sufficient for my needs.The drive is incredible! Videos play immediately rather than within a few seconds with my old drive. System is absolutely silent. The speed may reduce over time as the drive is filled (using less than 5% of the space for the OS and other apps currently) as occurs with large memory cards, but time will tell. Very pleased with performance so far. Will seriously consider solid state for future storage after this.

Buenas tardes a todos los usuarios de Amazon, primero quiero comentar que es la primera vez que compro en Amazon, en un principio no me decidía a comprar este producto porque antes de decidirme a la compra leí los comentarios de los usuarios que ya habían comprado y probado este producto y parece que a algunas personas no les fué del todo bien, ya sea con el tiempo de entrega o con el producto en sí, pero viendo que la mayoría de las personas comentaron favorablemente pues al final del día hice el pedido y la compra.Después de confirmar el pedido y hacer el pago con tarjeta y aprovechando que el envío era gratis, pues me llegó el producto como a los 5 días.En la primera oportunidad quité de mi laptop el DD Seagate de 320GB que venía instalado de fábrica y puse el disco nuevo Seagate de 1TB 2.5", particioné para instalar WINDOWS 10 y LINUX MINT MATE 17.3 en cada partición de 500GB y hasta el momento que escribo estas líneas (08/mayo/2016 12:30 pm) todo funciona perfectamente bien, se nota que el encendido y apagado es más rápido, las aplicaciones abren casi instantaneamente y en general se nota la diferencia en comparación con el DD anterior SATA III pero de los mecánicos.Creo que hice una buena compra a un buen precio ya que antes de comprar por Amazon estuve checando en tiendas especializadas y por internet y en muchos casos ofrecen discos usados y/o reconstruídos a precio de nuevos.Este disco lo revisé con Crystal Disk Info y los datos que me dió la aplicación son excelentes y por lo menos sé que es 100% nuevo.Para finalizar, yo recomiendo este producto y comprarlo por Amazon ya que las 2 marcas son garantía de calidad, buen trato y compromiso con el comprador final, saludos desde Saltillo, Coah., México.
