Heavy duty solution to failing cables
Cheap lightning leads are a bit hit and miss and not known for long life while even Apple cerified leads seem to have a built in self destruct mechanism which damages the cable close to one of the two ends rendering them useless.So far this metallic braided cable is looking the toughest I have yet come across. Its biggest advantage is that it doesn't bend at acute angles at either the lightning or USB plug ends, a major cause of failure, it will only allow a more gentle curve which puts much less strain on the delicate wires inside, and, being metal braided it feels strong and substantial..

Waited a little while to review as have had such bad luck with Apple's own brand cables (and they are mad pricey). This cable is brilliant, felt substantial on first using, the metal bit after the actual bit that plugs into your phone is longer and sturdier than Apple's branded cables, and although I'm very careful anyway, the springed metal helps support the cable when unplugging/plugging. My Apple cables each lasted me a month whereas this cable has lasted me going on 4months now, so definitely better and far more promising. I purchased 2. You are also able to sign up for a years free warranty - again, a plus over Apple who will not replace your cable for free. Thanks Sephia!

Bendy and strong.
After having purchased so many Apple lightning cables in the past and have them fray and break near the plugs I purchased heavy duty cables from other suppliers which have also failed with time. This cable is heavy duty braided which with the added spring has so far been indestructible at work, in the car and even with the kids.

OK but not very reliable
Unlike other unofficial cables, this does at least work on my iPod. However it says fully charged within 5-10 minutes of being connected yet the battery drains within an hour or 2, so something isn't right. Still, I can at least charge my iPod now. I wonder how long for? Sadly it doesn't work at all on my iPad.

Breaking phone chargers is one of my kids favourite activities, closely followed by taking mine. So far neither of these things has happened. In fact I am closing in on a record. If you have the same problem but can't quite face leaving your family on a mountain to be raised by wolves, you could do worse than buying this charger.

Leading the way !
Excellent lead, enhanced flexibility due to the external covering. A little more expensive than some other leads but it won't need replacing because it's broken.

Does the job. It's yellow.
Does what it says on the tin. Shorter cable is good for me, but bear it in mind.I like the colour as it helps with untangling.It's a bit loose in my iPhone 5S, BUT my other two cables are a bit loose too, but by varying amounts. This is about in the middle. Loose connector in the car is particularly bad.Anyways, it's more a design fault from Apple than the cable and this one fares well.

iPad charger
Seems good at the moment, the test really with these sort of things is how it lasts. It's a little stiff, but that's its strength I suppose. Use it for my iPad mini. Got the 3metre, which is very handy.
