Here's the scoop. I have been using these bulbs for years and really like them, even though I know that LEDs are more efficient. In fact, I tried some LEDs from Home Depot and they were too bright, didn't turn on instantly, not quite a similar color, etc. So, I ordered these... three times until getting it right! The listed Sylvania part number (16168) matches the current bulbs I use, and the picture is clearly long-neck, but nowhere does it specifically say long-neck in the description, so following is what happened...First time ordering -- Used default (low-cost) vendor, received short-neck bulbs, returned.Second time ordering -- Emailed a couple of vendors first who responded that they were long-neck. Ordered from LumenNation, received short-neck bulbs again. Vendor subsequently said there was a problem with the listing. Returned.Third time ordering -- Double checked with another vendor, BargainBulbs. Confirmed they were long-neck, received today, and they are the correct items.Note also that the Sylvania 16168 part number has been superseded by number 18253, at least according to information I found on the web. The bulbs appear to be exactly the same.

Checked all the lights in the box. All in good shape. Just put one in the shower /fan, so can’t speak to longevity yet, but right now it’s working great. Much cheaper than the hardware store. I’m happy so far.

When you get your order, REMOVE AND CHECK EACH BULB!I discovered this defective bulb about 4 months after receiving the box of 10 bulbs.The base was twisted and the bulb would not fit into the fixture.It was way too late to initiate a return.These bulbs are too expensive to be throwing away defects.

This used to be a great lamp but something changed the last few years. Do not know what changed. Maybe they move manufacturing off shore and/or changed the production somehow -what ever may be the case.I have lamps form the older stock of this brand that are sill running strong after 7 years! (being used a few hours every day - evening) - crazy I know right!When one finally broke, I replaced it with the "same" Sylvania lamp (same package same ID), but running next the older lamps, it brok within 3 months.The same can be said for the rest of the 12 I bought in the same batch.They all 11 out of the 12 broke within 3 -4 months. I have 1 that is still working - Pathetic!This was my go to lightbulb and I've purchased many batches of 12 over the year. I have noticed a decline in quality but the latest batch is disastrous! So this is it.I am done with this lamp and the Sylvain brand. I'm moving to LED based flood lights.

Sylvia is makes quality bulbs. The wide flood distributes well. Excellent product

I need long neck bulbs and these are short neck bulbs

these bulbs appear to duplicate the originals which I can no longer find in the store.

The lights these are replacing lasted for years. I put two of these in my office and they burned out in three months. A light with virtually no life is of absolutely no use to me. It's worth noting that these lights were just shipped in a box, no packing, nothing to absorb the shocks and drops of shipping, so one of the bulbs was broken. Return is not possible with the vendor, so there was no alternative but to just use them. Looks like I'll need more soon, so I have to figure something else out.
