Traxxas 36076-4 Stampede VXL 2WD Brushless Monster Truck, Green

My son loves his truck, it takes a fairly good beating and he gets about 30min Of run time on the 7 cell NIMH. I just wish it came with a battery and a wall charger. We did have a shock cap come off and dump the fluid. We lost the cap so had to buy a new shock. He was doing jumps with it so this is to be expected. Overall great price compared to HPI savage which we used to own. HPI is better quality but about twice the price. For my 10 year old this is perfect.

Small learning curve for an 11 year old, but once he got the hang of it he loves it! I would recommend starting off with a nicad battery for younger kids and then move up to the 3S lipo (brushless motors only). Just understand this is not a car you can run indoor... they are quick! You must expect some issues, but they are usually cheap and easy to fix. I love that my son gets some hands on time learning to work on and maintain this RC.

We purchased this rc car to only have issues with it from the get go. First the tire had issues and would keep vibrating, could only drive at slow speeds. Then the steering box made a horrible noise and then it wouldn't respond. When returned product to traxxas they charged me a restocking fee of $80 with out telling me. Don't buy Traxxas. Going through Amazon to get this resolved. What a Joke

This is a very fun truck. It's a wheelie monster and powerful. I attach a dog ball on a line to it and my dog chases it like crazy! I had to make the line to the ball about 6 feet long so the truck wasn't spraying stuff so directly at her as the tires spin when she catches it. I tied it to the wheelie bar frame.If you're running 3S lipo batteries, you will have more power than the plastic parts can handle. Plan on upgrading many of the parts from plastic to aluminum as the plastic ones will break. I've upgrade the following:1. Upgrade the clutch to aluminum pads (part # 5352R - just the pads, possibly the spring - you don't need the rest) cuz it was slipping too much.This caused the plastic drive shafts to fail so:2. Plastic drive shafts upgraded to Traxxas CV shafts (Part # 1951R)3. Aluminum Caster Blocks (Part # 3632X)4. RPM Wide Front Bumper5. After-market steering blocks, they weren't very good - Go with the Traxxas onesI'm going to add a little more weight to the front cuz when accelerating, the front is in the air too much and there is no steering when the front end is up. I have to back off the power too often just to steer and my dog is really fast!Enjoy!
