Let Your Body Return to EASE in Moving
I picked up this book 2 1/2 years ago - the ease of the photo on the cover caught my eye. This book offers a relationship to the body which is joyful and completely revolutionary. The text itself is a treatise on natural balance, and the exercises are very sublime. Be forewarned: the sublimity of the exercises is such that those of us who are use to effort in bodywork hardly know how to begin. To lighten our work and direct our attention to our body's vital response to the Kentro moving - this invites us over and over again to discover our body's joy. I am a massage therapist as well as a yoga practitioner of many years - Angelika's amazing work has transformed my practice, and has provided very simple help to some complexing limitation issues for numerous clients.

I refer to this book regularly and recommend it to body workers and well as folks like me who can benefit from noticing the comfort their bodies can feel when they follow guidelines this book offers. If I had the time and I was nearer, I would join Angie's classes! Alas, I live across the country from her....

Best Book on Body Movements Available
This book is by far the most clear presentation of how to move effortlessly in the world that I have ever read. Ms. Thusis is a master at conveying her KENTRO (Greek for Center) Method. Unlike other books out there Such as 8 Steps to a Pain Free Back by Ester Gokhale or The McCall Method by Lisa McCall, Thusius provides more in-depth anatomical explanations and clearer sensory guidelines. She takes the reader step-by-step with a concrete sensory experience of movement away from strain and pain. What really stands out to me is Ms. Thusius' approach to an affectionate attitude towards oneself. Instead of trying to put yourself into the "right" posture, this book makes it clear that there is no "right" posture (in terms of an outer look) - there is just "sound" use of our anatomy which takes us away from pushing our body into prescribed forms. I have noticed a great release in my everyday activities. Also, one thing that I have loved is that my back pain when lifting is completely gone. I was taught since I was a kid throughout various athletics (including weight-lifting), what the right way was to lift, which turned out to be completely inaccurate. So, I spent my whole life lifting things the wrong way but after reading this book I have really mastered an appropriate way for me to lift. I am so grateful this knowledge is out there. I highly recommended this book over any others I have come across. Now I am pain free!
