“Even a baller is on a budget...!?!”
•A bit slow at first. Seems softer on the joints because I felt slow.•Once I settled into the pocket, I let ‘er rip.•This is designed to be able to put on more layers even after both cycles.•I’m going to put on another layer in the heat of summer when I know UV index is off the charts here in OKstate territory.•Very porous for my skis!

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU FIRST GO OUT. It's really slow
It seems to work fine. The first time out on the snow it really sucked.I had to put a wipe on wax over it.But on the second and third day out it seems to work fine.

It works.
As others will say, make sure you put this on a totally cloudless day (I put part A and B around 11AM to ensure maximum sunlight. It is *amazing*. I am on day 13 on it, and have skied powder, crud, ice, slush. It just works. I am not one who will wax their skis multiple times a week, nor am I a racer of any kind. If you have *any* element of laziness (to not drive in to drop off/pick up your skis after getting them waxed) or care about the environment at all, you should check out Phantom. The glide is consistent, and from my anecdotal evidence is better than a freshly waxed ski after a half day of skiing (the extra speed that wax gives appears to wear off that quickly). I also want to point out that my ptex does appear to be a bit more "hardened". I have hit a couple rocks since applying Phantom, that I was sure were going to be core shots, but my skis took very little damage.Again, application is key here, make sure you watch their video and follow the directions *exactly*, as there are some people who have had problems, also make 100% sure that the packets are not compromised in shipment, a bunch of people who kickstarted reported that as a problem as well (I videoed the opening of the box with my phone just in case).

Phantom is Crap
My buddy went to a professional shop and had his NEARLY brand new Head Kore 93 skis base ground before having the shop apply Phantom on to his skis. I had brand new Head Kore 99 skis with no wax on them. We tested them on a catwalk starting from stop. Sunny cold day in Vail. I blew him away. Just left him like he was standing. We did a whole day of runs and repeated the test. Same result. The next day, he put Hotsauce Racing 739 on his skis over the Phantom. Then we repeated the test on the same catwalk. He was slightly faster. The next day, he put some graphite based wax over his skis with the Phantom treatment. He blew me away. We repeated the test 4 times. Same results.

Make sure you get a good cure!
I used to wax my skis a lot... then I had kids.. and I abused my skis and didn't wax them enough as I had better things to be doing. When this product dropped I was super curious to say the least. Bottom line, it works. Now I can grab and go and I am very happy with the performance.I also got a chance to go back to back several times with skis with and without the treatment on the same runs during a ski test.... You could really notice the difference there.

A few seasons in, still going strong.
I got version 1 off Kickstarter several seasons ago. Still haven't had to wax. Too a slow day or two to break in, but it's been excellent from then on.

Go Waxless For The Environment!
DPS PHANTOM 2.0. I found out that it really does work – extremely well. Visit your local shop or order online before next ski season. This product most likely will become one of the most highly demanded products in the ski/snowboard industry.
