Great way to use a mobile device as a basic oscilloscope.
Best product I've seen so far for using a wifi-capable mobile device (touchscreen tablet or phone) to display basic oscilloscope measurements and to control basic simple oscilloscope functionality. This device is very easy to setup and use, but the reason I would NOT recommend it for most 'beginners' is because IMO mainly the very experienced /seasoned oscilloscope users can understand and appreciate the advantages and tradeoffs. In a nutshell the most important thing to remember is that a large portion of the functionality you are paying for essentially enables your touchscreen mobile device to be used as a very friendly display and user interface. The other features and overall performance of this wifi scope interface might not match those of many similarly priced (or more expensive) standalone oscilloscopes, but standalone scopes typically do NOT offer the most important functionality that this wifi scope offers, which again is to allow your mobile device (tablet or phone) to be a very friendly user interface with touchscreen display and control.

Worth the money
Works great. I love the WiFi feature and the software is workable for the price point. I wish the battery life was longer but it’s better than no battery at all. The probes are ok nothing to write home about. Trigger functions work better with the iOS app than the computer. My only gripe is the seller included a European style plug instead of a US plug and amazon doesn’t allow me to message the seller. Also this scope does NOT come with a signal generator option. Overall, it’s worth the price mostly due to the WiFi functionality.*Edit*As of 2020 the scope still works like new. I use the scope primarily through the WiFi connection on a PC. The scope did face issues with battery dying at 20 degrees Fahrenheit but I am guessing the makers never intended it to be used in cold environments. Even in 2020 I believe this is the best WiFi scope for the price point.

Complete waste of time for a serious user
I wanted this scope for an X-Y display to display on a PC via wifi. Could not get the wifi to communicate with any pc, tried numerous machines running several different operating systems. No joy. Downloaded the latest drivers from Hantek website, still no workie. Android application does not support X-Y mode either. The enclosed usb A/C power adapter is for some other part of the world, not USA compatible. Not ready to move abroad just yet. This unit is nothing more than a curiosity.

Great for hobbyist and portable for pros.
My old analog scope died, and my needs don't justify a major investment. I run Apple iMacs and iPads, so my choice of USB interface oscilloscopes was limited. The IDSO 1070A worked fine over WIFI with my older model iPad and iPhone. I miss the one knob-per-function control panel of analog scopes, but the interface on the iPad screen was adequate and more intuitive than interfaces on some apps. I didn't try the USB interface, since Hantek doesn't have a Mac OS app. And I didn't test the accuracy of the specs, but the data from the 1070A was reasonable. So it's a great choice for a low budget hobby user, and probably adequate for a professional, who wants a portable scope for field work.

Easy to setup and use
I was a little uncertain after reading one review, but this was pretty easy to get setup and use quickly. It can be connected via the USB cable and use the interface software on a PC, or connected to via WiFi. I was able to connect the scope to our WiFi network and wirelessly connect to it with my cell phone within about 20 minutes. The only reason it took longer is because I wasn't following the directions correctly.Great deal and solid scope for the price. I will be recommending this to all my students I teach.

Lack of support
The received unit showed on powering up an unacceptable amount of residual noise. Upon requesting technical assistance I got an answer that was totally useless without explanation of the techs. Upon asking that explanation I never got an answer. The only action left was returning the unit for a refund because I lost all confidence.

Remember to push power button to get wifi and it's simple, at least with iPhone
I saw all these negative reviews so was prepared to hate but once I figured how to get it to send a wifi signal it just worked on the iPhone. The auto button on the software did everything else to sync up my simple signal (plugged into AC wall outlet).

Good value for the money
It is NOT a programmable generator as described. Otherwise the description is accurate. Ipad and Android software is much more limited and slower than the Windows software. Only the Windows software would make this compatible to a hardware device.
