Awesome pwm controller - THE controller to get for multiple seperate batteries
Shipped fast and has worked flawlessly. I charge over 20 batteries with this one controller. I use automated timers to swap out what batteries are connected to the 2 terminals on the controller allowing to the controller to charge 2 batteries at a time each day in a 12 volt setup to keep all my vehicles charged. I have also used this when I first started out on my 24 volt system with 2 batteries in series on one of the controller leads. Worked fine. Now that I have a new mppt controller for the house this pwm controller is strictly handling vehicles charging ranging from my cars to my trucks, tractors and mowers. If it ever does fail one day I will replace with this same unit. Perfect for the job. I also have the mt-1 remote display connected with a 100 foot rj45 network cable to monitor it. If you need a solar controller for up to 20 amps and don't need a separate load controller and want to charge multiple batteries at once there isn't anything out there besides this unit. So its not only what I consider the best. Its pretty much all there is :)

no load terminals
should have been obvious from the pics but somehow I feel jedi mind tricked - just like all the other contollers out there this only has 6 terminals. so yes you can connect solar, and 2 strings of batteries, but you cannot connect a load-pair.NO LOAD TERMINALShttp://www.epsolarpv.com/en/index.php/Product/pro_content/id/407/am_id/136you'd probably assume so, but just to be clear this does charge 2 batteries in parallel NOT SERIAL. you can specify the percentage per battery.does what it says. for some reason, you save a few bucks buying it separately instead of bundled with the MT-1 meter.trying to figure out how to connect the controller to a computer. official reply from Sain is "not possible".butthe rj45 cable is wired mirror, so probably null-modem. with their MPPT/MT-5 models, the literature claims "ttl232", so it's likely rs232 or rs485, and if we're lucky m-bus/meterbus xml/sml type stuff.if you want to save some (literally half the) money and risk buying from China (epsolar actual maker, or belismart apparent western distro), the controller is model EPIPDB-COM.but Sain store are decent I have gotten handheld Ham stuff from them in the past and no complaints.

zero tech support
I'm using this controller to charge the batteries in my rv. It seems to be working, but the instructions give barely even a minimum amount of information concerning the various stages of flashing light indicators on the controller and what they mean. So I'm not really sure how well this is performing, or if it's actually doing all the things it says it should do. SainSonic has other products for sale at Amazon, but their website gives a contact phone number which is disconnected. I've written to the email at that site and received no response. Next time, I'll buy a product that has a company behind it. I may actually replace this one with a different one and eat the $50 bucks, just so I can have some sort of tech support available. Very frustrating.
