I needed something for my in-wall mailbox - the old fashioned kind from the 1950's. This is a pretty large basket, and holds flyers and larger mail. It is a relief not to come home and find mail all over the floor and under the couch, not to mention the bits and pieces left after the dog has sampled a piece or two. It's not terribly attractive, and it's large on the wall. But it works and the function is worth it.

Works well but rather flimsy for the price

Saved my mail from my dogs and I have had it for 5 years now. It has been overfilled and still sturdy and dependable!

Had to return for friend. Unable to use. But, appeared to be good quality!

The basket works well to keep the dog from chewing the mail. The welds where the mounting tabs are attached to the basket as ugly globs no professional welder would do.I mounted it to a door with recessed panels, so I had to add wood blocks between the panels and the basket, which I planned on before buying the basket. Fortunately I have a router to make blocks that match the door mill work. The manufacturer would have a better product if they had separate metal clips for mounting so you could pick spots on the basket that avoided the recessed panels.

The overall quality if this product is very poor as the metal is very flimsy. The product is over-priced for the quality received.

We added insulation to the mail catcher to make sure nothing could fall through because we have a dog! It works great!

Why I waited so long to get a mail catcher I don't know, but this was easy to install and keeps the mail from dropping through the mail slot to the floor of my garage each day. I highly recommend the device.
