I love this pen for its beautiful look and versatile ink compatibility!
I've kept journals for life and work for as long as I can remember, and at one point decided to treat myself to a really nice pen that felt awesome every time I used it. I was immediately drawn to the classy looking matte black and gold look, and I had read in a pen forum that this pen accepts the Pilot G2 gel ink refills. That's been a type of pen I have used a lot and I like the way it writes, so this was a huge plus. Can confirm it works, and if you are willing to trim the ink refill cartridge a little you can also use the Bic Signo ink cartridges. I like having a beautiful writing instrument as I journal, and it's cool to be able to readily switch between blue or black ink and at different boldness levels whenever I'm in the mood for something different.

Great pen
Everything a Waterman pen is and does. No pen writes particularly well on waxes carbon receipts.

Overall a nice pen
Overall I would buy this pen again. A couple of issues that I had were with the ink cartridge that came with the pen as well as the plastic grip section. The ink cartridge provided was not functioning and kept resulting in breaks in flow of the ink. The plastic grip section is not detrimental to function it just feels a little cheaper than other brands at this price point. Overall a nice pen with an aesthetically pleasing color.

Not what I expect from a waterman
Top falls off. Writes very rough and even skips

Very clean, smooth and elegant
I was given one of these pens as a present from colleagues and loved it so much that when I lost it I sought another one pretty quickly! it writes very well and is very well balanced particularly if you don't put the cap on the back end of the pen when writing. I find the ink refills last me a month or so with reasonable daily use. For those that purchase, the included ink cartridge is in the case under the cushion that the pen is presented on.I have the matte stainless steel version and love it's look but can't comment on those who report the coloured lacquer fading.

First Pen
This is my first "good" pen that I've owned so make of that what you will. For my needs and purposes it seems to be pretty good, but like I said, I've never even used another quality pen so I don't have much to compare it too xD. It definetly flows across the paper much better than any other cheap pen I've ever used, so that's definetly a plus. I tried writing with one of those gel pens after using this and even those feel too scratchy now.Anyway, the pen is chrome which I like, nothing too flashy, I like the lowkey aspect of that. If you're into the whole weird patterns or flashy gold plate then look elsewhere lol.The one thing I have noticed is that for a fine point pen the writing doesn't seem to be all that fine, dunno if maybe I don't know enough to be able to tell though... I've read some other pen reviews and some people comment on the caps so here goes. This one isn't a screw on so,yeah, you can just pop it off :) It doesn't feel lose or anything when its on the butt(is that the right term??) of the pen when your'e writing so I think that's good? That's all I've got ahaha xD Maybe someday when I have more experience with these darn things I'll come back and write a more expertly review. :)UPDATE(2/3/13): Less than a week after receiving my pen the ink already comes out and skips a lot. The pen has been stored capped and in its original box when not in use, and I've rarely used it in the few days I've had it, not happy! >:(
