Not 100% leak proof but what really is.
My daughter ordered it for herself. It is NOT leak proof but is anything really leak proof? She loves it and it looks very much like a camera lense. I would definitely buy another one.

Looooove everything about this!It looks like a true REAL camera lens. Especially the see thru lens cover. Has thermal aluminum material inside. Have not used it yet, but looking forward to it.Arrived promptly. Fair size mug. Like pictured. Nice novelty item.
