Pure plant goodness in a premade mix!
I bought this mix so I wouldn't have to purchase separate amla, bhringraj, and shikakai powders. I was pleasantly surprised at the results! Reasonable price for the amount of product. If doing the full length of hair, definitely make more mix than you think you'll need. Added some myrrh fragrance oil and coconut oil to the mixture. Due to the amla's acidity, no lemon was needed to activate. Left in overnight and my hair feels stronger yet soft to the touch. This is a great product.

Love it for henna gloss I make
I use this to make a henna gloss. It is drippy, but I am told that is because I use cheap conditioner. It is nice and relaxing to get away from it all for 1 hour in the restoom. My hair looks wonderful after as well. I use it once a month and this 1KG will last me a VERY LONG TIME. Can't say as much for the conditioner. Only thing that might have been nice, is for the bag to be resealable. I purchased a container to keep it in.

Gorgeous red highlights on my 20% greys
Does anyone else get the worst ache in your legs when you've applied it? Gorgeous results every time. I prep it the night before, i mix hot coffee with chamomile tea and lemon juice and a spoonful of coconut oil, let it cool. Mix into henna and let it sit overnight. The next morning, apply and let it sit covered for about 3 hours. I then fill the tub halfway to poke my hair in and that is the easiest least messy way to get henna partially removed. Followed by a shower. I co wash with conditioner the first time and style as usual. After 3 days you can shampoo. Gorgeous results time after time. Just an unexplained ache. No indigo because that gave me even more aches the next day. From mold spores. Trying to figure out if this henna is also doing that. If you've experienced this give me a thumbs up so i know. Lol

maybe not this if you have any decent amount of silver hair.
this turned my silver hair orange. i really wanted the red color from the henna i've always used. this however gave me really better scalp health after using it for some reason, more so then henna alone. i had not been dying my hair for a year and a half with anything like this and my scalp really suffered for it. the dandruff from my childhood returned and had gotten really scaly, and this really cleared it out. i'm only docking it 1 star because it wasn't the right color for me. but hey, if you like having hair the color of golden straw with a hint of red in it (a light bronze orange? hard to explain). for some people it would not be a bad look. and the scalp health is way better then the henna alone. so, not a bad product. just beware if you were going for the henna red color.

Last a long time on your hair
This works great. I mix mine with strong coffee instead of water. And add in olive, argan, amla, castor or whichever oil/oil mix I want or need. Always put a shower cap on or a plastic bag like I do and then I wear a binnie on top to keep it warm and moist. Do not put Henna on your hair and leave it uncovered, it will dry up and harden therefore it'll get stuck to your hair/head as clay. And even after you get your hair in the shower it won't soften easily and it's a quiet tedious and painful process. I should know, happened to me the first time I used (pure) henna. No body said that henna alone dries your hair and therefore it get tangled amd if left uncovered it will air dry and become hard as clay on your head and there I was like "meh no biggie, I'll just soak my head and it will soften" boy was I wrong... so back to this products review. It works strengthens your hair so it feels thicker, it gets shiny, soft and in my case I get more volume on my wavy hair. Remember to add a little oil and cover your head.

Repeat buyer!
I love this product! The color lasts for good amount of time, over a month before my grey really starts to show. It is extremely healthy for my scalp and hair, though I do mix in a little indigo to give me more dark brown look. I am unable to use any colorants from the store or salons. And trust me I have tried everything my best friend is a hairdresser. I have very fine and thin hair, naturally straight. This gives it body and strength. I do get a perm once a year. I wait till the colorant is at least 2 to 3 weeks old before I get a perm and then I wait another two weeks after the perm before I color my hair. The only downside to this product is it does take about 3 to 4 hours to ferment after mixing, and then it does take another 3 to 4 hours for my hair to process. But sometimes I just put it on and go to bed and then rinse in the morning. This is natural so your hair will smell a little off for a couple days I joke and say I smell like alfalfa, because I live on a ranch to me that is what it smells like. I have been using this product for years!

Wonderful Product!!!
Wonderful, very inexpensive hair coloring!!! Beautiful color that looks very natural and is actually good for your hair and health! I get compliments all the time from total strangers. I mix 6 tbls. in 1/2 cup + 2 tbls. of warm water, in a glass dish and let set for 1 - 2 hours. Then I use a funnel to transfer to a hair color applicator and apply. I put a plastic bag over my head and then cover all with a knit cap and wait 3 hrs before rinsing out. I then apply a good conditioner, leave on 2 min and rinse thoroughly. Results are fantastic!!!
