It keeps time at least as well as my old Seiko.The only negative thing I've noticed is the chain, which I thought looked cheap and had a flimsy clasp. I replaced it with something better and have the watch in my pocket right now.UPDATE: This watch keeps excellent time so I was surprised when it was 20 minutes off one day. Then it happened again a couple days later and I figured out what happened: The knob to adjust the time pulls out very easily and I was changing the setting when I removed the watch from my pocket. Bought it in October 2018, got scratches on the case almost immediately, despite my being reasonably cautious about carrying it (with a full hunter case, I thought it was safe enough to carry in the pocket watch pocket of blue jeans, but it still scratched considerably). By October 2019, battery was dead (which suggests that it was older stock, i don't think a one year lifespan for a modern quartz watch is normal). Had battery replaced professionally. By March 2020 (1.5 years since purchase) the watch had died. Had battery replaced again, and was told that the watch mechanism was dead. It would be more expensive to repair it than buy another, so it sits, collecting dust, in a junk drawer. It feels heavy, sturdy and well made. I have two other pocket watches and this is the most modern. The stainless steel case is plain but very classy looking. I noticed a previous reviewer criticising the snake chain but I think this gives the watch a more modern look and feel. The white face and big black hands make it easy to read and of course the quartz movement means no winding. I did have a problem with the lid, it would not flip up properly, but returned it to Amazon and a replacement has been received and has no problems.
