I bought this for my hydro flask that I put water in. The one that came with my hydro flask has since been thrown out due to dropping bottle many times and flip up piece was damaged. This new lid fits perfect. One slight drawback is you need two hands to pop open the lid. It’s extremely tight and I cannot seem to open with one hand while driving.

The first time I ordered this lid, I was sent a completely wrong item. However, the company was good about setting up the return and the second time I received the right item. It is a HydroFlask lid and fits perfectly, as it should. The HydroFlasks are not leakproof, so that's not the fault of the lid, but a design flaw by the manufacturer. I am happy with what I received.

I tried ordering the original Klean Kanteen lid but the Company was not selling it, it so against my better judgment I decided to find a replacement lid through Amazon because I had no other choice as I wanted to keep the original bottle and still make it usable. I’ve had several disappointments from many different small vendors that promise reasonable replacement parts. I figured how hard is it to make a plastic lid. After one day, my son came home with a broken cap. To their defense, he did say that he found it on the ground so it must’ve fallen from some height. After one drop you can see on the video that the plastic already broke. To give everybody a baseline, my son had the water bottle for five years and beat the hell out of the cap. At some point, I had to tell him to stop throwing the bottle in the air to see if it will land on its bottom. The original cap took quite a beating and only after so many years did it finally crack. That’s what I wanted to replace. If you were someone that is careful and plans on using this at work in which you set on a flat surface and expected to never fall down then this is likely going to be fine for you. Check out the video and its design, which is ultimately flawed, there’s too much of a gap between the plastic to allow a too much movement leading to breakage. Again it seems to me that this would be an easy engineering fix so I’m not sure how this cap was designed this way. I’m pretty sure all the other caps out there probably have similar design as likely built from the same manufacturer and that will likely break after one good fall , when The bottle is full. I would strongly encourage looking at the video and seeing those gaps and deciding for yourself whether it’s a good design.

Leakproof. Gets the job done. If Hydroflask still manufactured this top, I’d buy the OEM, but alas the original is discontinued. This one does NOT say “BPA free” on the inside, so I wonder a bit about safety. But anything plastic that you put in your mouth or use with food is a bit of a risk, so I’m not losing sleep over it.

I don’t know much about my coffee mug - I’ve had it for years, it’s very likely a Hydroflask, and it’s somewhere around 20 oz with straight double walls. No bottle shape, just s normal stainless steel cylinder. The outside diameter of the original lid is around 2 5/8” and the mug mouth is about 2.25”. This lid worked great to replace the original which broke when it hit the floor hard and would. I longer stay closed. Little to no leakage and an affordable replacement, real happy I don’t have to buy a new mug.

The lid that that comes with the Coldest bottle has a straw. I wanted a simple lid I could sip from that didn't have a straw and wouldn't leak while drinking. I had another lid that leaks, so I was worried but this one ended up being great. It seals well when screwed down all the way. I don't know how leak proof it would be with the cap closed, rolling around in a gym bag but I don't use it for that. I just don't want it to leak from the sides while drinking and for that, it's great. It's my favorite bottle and lid combination at the house. I have a different bottle I'll take with me when I go out.

I purchased extra item Dropped first one. Must burp hot drink first which is fine. When taking a drink, leaks and no matter how slow I take a sip liquid comes out to fast all at once. The 2nd lid I purchased doesn’t snap closed
