Good quality lupini and recipe
Good quality lupinis from Canada. Dry bean are good size, not giant, but good tasting after processing. I'll share my recipe for the best I've made: 2 pots of boiling water. Put dry beans in first, boil 60 min. Drain. Put drained bean in second pot. Boil 2nd 60 min. Let cool. Cover cooked beans with water in large plastic container with lid and change water 4x per day using large colander. Soak as need to remove all bitterness, usually 3 to 5 days, adding salt to last soaks. Once bean is sweet and salted keep refrigerated in brine. Enjoy

the beans are not fit for consumption.
the lupini beans are extremely bitter and not fit for consumption. I WILL HAVE TO PUT THEM IN THE GARBAGE.

Perfect Lupinis and in only 4 days!
Excellent flavor, and they are the variety that the bitterness can be gotten rid of in 4 days instead of 7 which is an obvious timesaver.Lupinis are naturally bitter and unless prepared, right can't be eaten!1. Soak 24 hours in tap cool water with enough water to cover by an inch or two.2. Boil for 60 minutes. Drain and rinse.3. Soak in cool water with an inch or two over the beans again, and change the water twice a day for 4 days. Salt the water every other time.4. Store in the fridge in a fairly salty brine. Maybe 3-4 teaspoons of salt to two cups of water. When eating, use your teeth split the outer casing near the little ring on the edge and squeeze to pop in your mouth. This amount makes two batches for me.Enjoy! These are delicious.

Having fun with this blast from the past..
Going on day-3 and, so far, things are looking good. I'm a first-timer so it's not like I expect things to go like a Pro, but it's fun. Bitterness is down a lot, but not gone, so we'll see how many days it takes to remind me of when I lived in Rome and these, and roasted chestnuts were a favorite treat from street vendors while out. Will update once done.

Tell us the amount of time it takes to get out the bitterness.
I was very disappointed. Iโve soaked for 24 hours. Then cooked in crockpot for 12 hours. Then soaked. Iโm on day 3. Iโm determined to get the bitterness out. This should be on the front page.Yara sent no instructions. I would never buy these again. Maybe if I would have known ahead of time I would not have purchased.
