What immediately drew me in was the fact that it’s made using the Swiss Water Process, which is a chemical-free method of decaffeination. Knowing that no harsh chemicals were used to strip the caffeine made me feel so much better about my choice. From the moment I opened the bag, I was hit with a rich, fresh coffee aroma — something you don’t always get with decaf. Once brewed, the flavor was smooth, full-bodied, and incredibly satisfying. I picked up on subtle chocolate and nutty notes, and honestly, if you didn’t tell me it was decaf, I never would have guessed! One thing I did notice is that you may need to use a little extra coffee per cup if you like a stronger, bolder flavor. The standard coffee-to-water ratio produced a slightly lighter brew than I expected, but increasing the amount of grounds a bit brought out an even richer, more robust flavor. Totally worth it! Another huge plus for me is that it’s certified organic. I try to avoid unnecessary chemicals in my food and drinks, so it’s a relief knowing that I’m drinking pure, high-quality coffee without any compromise on taste. Because of menopause my doctor has strongly advised me NOT to drink coffee any more. But I love coffee, not because of caffeine, I don’t need that to pick me up in the morning, I just love the flavor, not any coffee flavor, but strong coffee with a bit chocolaty sort of dark flavor. I’m not a fan for bitterness so I do add soy creamer, and I don’t like my coffee sour. So my search for a good decaf began. I then learnt that the usual process to make decaf is not healthy. Only Swiss Water Process is safe, that made my search harder. So glad I found this one. The flavor is strong and chocolate taste is obvious. No acidity that I can detect, so with my creamer in, it’s a perfect cut of smooth coffee that I love. Only problem is that sometimes they run out of stock! So I either buy 3 packs in one go or order their big bag. Please please please, Allegro, continue to thrive!

For health reasons, I've had to cut back on caffeine and I've been looking for a full flavored decaf espresso. I'm so glad I tried this brand as it is by far the BEST decaf to pull espresso shots! Rich aroma and flavor without being bitter, which is perfect for an espresso machine. I wouldn't recommend this blend for a french press or drip coffee, as it might be too dark using those methods. But it's perfect for shots for your lattes and cappuccinos! HIGHLY recommended!

I prefer an espresso that tastes more like dark chocolate. This espresso has a sour aftertaste.

I been a bit of a snob of late when it comes to my coffee. I been buying fresh roasted from a local vender and love the crema it makes and the great flavor in my espresso machine/americanos. Not wanting to pay for 2 lbs like I do on my daily caffeinated blend. I been trying some other choices. This is pretty good for coffee . I might buy it again
