spacing is off on 1/4
if your looking for a cage that will save you a few bucks and work with all your accessories from other companies this is not it. the standard spacing used by other companies will not work on this cage so it is a total let down. you can attach a bunch of single point stuff but thats about it.

Not Smallrig, but the price reflects this...
Only attaches to your camera from one spot (tripod screw hole) so it's only as secure as how hard you want to screw that in. It is somewhat uncomfortable to make any manual adjustments with this on your camera as it tends to get in the way. It does give you access to your camera's hot shoe mount as well as offering an additional one so that's nice. And the build is quite sturdy, nothing I would be concerned about. I would consider rating it higher but...THE 1/4"-20 & 3/8"-16 HOLES ARE NOT UNIVERSALLY SPACED! You may be able to finagle the majority of your attachments to connect but as soon as you need two screws for one piece of hardware you may be out of luck depending on where you want to put it. I worked around this by attaching several NATO rails to the sides as the screws attaching the NATO rails have some lateral leeway.

The package looked like it was previously opened and no screws were included to attach this to a camera.
