Robinair (15510) VacuMaster Single Stage Vacuum Pump - Single-Stage, 5 CFM

I bought this unit from Amazon Warehouse at a discounted price, while it was listed as used "like new" that wasn't the case. The fans shroud was bent and hitting the cooling fan. It was a quick fix (remove cover, hammer out dent, install cover). Now I have a high quality vacuum pump at the price of a cheap unit. I have used it several times to evacuate AC systems and while it does get warm, it did not shut down after 45 minutes of continuous operation.

The pump works well and i was able to pull 29 hg but it does vaporize the vacuum oil more than I am used to seeing. I would say great value for do it yourselfers but not for a professional.

Had a concealed duct mini-split unit with about 25' of line set. This pump pulled it down to less than 200 microns with no issues at all. Obviously was not in a hurry since it was a one off job but it seemed to work pretty fast and was quieter than other vac pumps I have used.

You will not find a better quality vacuum pump for residential work for this price on the market... period. This is the first time purchasing a vacuum pump online, as a contractor we have always bought from one of our local distributors. But purchasing online not only saves us some money, it also shows us that these distributors are selling tools above retail!!!

Poor packaging can't determine whether it's bad packaging or condition labeling, pump I bought was in used very good condition Packaging looked like someone kicked it all the way from the truck to my house.. items description was "very good" oil reservoir was cracked below the sight glass, missing bleed screw, back fan guard was dented in so badly it had to be removed completely and the oil sight was half poked in and leaked immediately all over because I had been a little hasty and just opened it up tried to fill it with oil with no luck. The condition term very good definitely does not apply to this sale what so ever.. after searching around the shop I found the right size bolt for the bleed screw, went bought some thread tape 40$ worth of permabond and activator and fixed the cracks, sight glass and took care of the nut 4 hours later it works like it should though this should not of been necessary at all..

Gave it 4 stars but 3.5 would be better. I had to take the top apart and reconnect the electricals before it would run. After that it worked fine and pumped down quickly. However no QA on the production line? And what is with the fuse in the holder when clearly no fuse is used or needed?

Ive had this Robinair pump for 4 months now using it daily. I am a residential, and commercial service tech. It pulls a quick vacuum to about 220 microns. It has never failed me and for the price I would highly recommend.

Great quiet pump. Works awesome and has power toggle switch and detachable AC power supply. Great name brand for good price.

The pump seems fine although I have not used it yet because it was delivered with the Amazon Box facing up but the box inside upside-down so the bottle of vacuum oil leaked everywhere and there wasn't enough to fill the pump. I now need to go out and buy a bottle of expensive oil and roll of paper towels to clean this mess up.

Tried it on 3 different systems and couldn't get below 750 microns. Hooked up the 5cfm Hilmor and got down to 350 microns in half the time it took to get to 750 with this one. Just spend more the first time and buy something better.
