Microsoft Access 2013 Programming By Example: with VBA, XML, and ASP (CD included)

Just received this book as an upgrade to "Microsoft Access 2003 Programming by Example with VBA, XML, and ASP" (which was very useful to me years ago). I would certainly recommend this seller as the book arrived in just a couple of days and in excellent condition.

Great hands-on book. Worst index ever. Otherwise, it would get five stars.Publishers: look at Microsoft Access 2013 Bible for an example of a useful index. An index to a technical book should not be an afterthought. An index is essential to the usefulness of a book directed toward entry-level users/programmers.Here's an example: the index entry for "Class" has two entries: "Module," and "Naming." Yeah, that's what I was stuck on, how to name it.Unfortunate, because the hands-on aspect of the book is outstanding.

The book is well written and very good for the person who knows Access. This is not a book for the beginning Access User, as the book states in Introduction. This book would be a second or third level book. This book gets into desktop and web programming. If youknow Access, I would purchase this book along with Access Bible for Desktop applications or Access 2013 inside out for Web application. I purchased both.

I have never purchased an Access book beyond my ability to understand it immediately. This is the one. I feel like I know nothing about Access. Finally, a book designed to challenge me in my quest for the next level!

I found this book to be very interesting. The author takes great pains to explain from the ground up what to expect when writing different applications. Even if you are a seasoned programmer you may find little tips and suggestions she explains to be helpful.It took many weeks for this book to show up. Otherwise the book was well packaged and exactly what was described and I am pleased with it.

Excellent book for intermediate users. Be careful to follow up with mercury to get support files. Amazon can't help you if you bought on kindle like I did but the publisher is helpful if you show the purchase id

This book is well-written with sample files which you can download by firstly contacting to the publisher.As I used it via kindle, however, the sub-chapter in the content can't be pressed to link it to a specific page.If this issue is fixed, the book is perfect.

Big Problem with all books on Amazon that have data discs, reading items ie Pimsler Spanish.....you can't get the cd, dvd or printed materials.Can't Believe Amazon is this lame.

I found this book wanting. I found the chapters up to number eight rather basic in nature. I would have liked the steps for each project to be better formatted with more spacing. I found the project in chapter eight was missing details. I found some of the missing details on the web but lost interest to actually get the project working. I noticed that the index is very spares. Several VBA related word that Looked up were not there. I wouldn't buy this author's book.

Bought as gift, just what he wanted!

Excellent Book. It covers all areas in detail and worth the high price tag.

Il titolo è invitante. Certamente non mancano i contenuti anche se si nota che l'autore di professione scrive libri ma in realtà non ha esperienze personali nell'utilizzo del software. La pecca maggiore è la mancanza di un vero indice analitico che in in libro di 1100 pagine è veramente necessario.
