The Hoont Electric Mouse Trap uses innovative technology to deliver a high voltage shock, eliminating mice and small rats in seconds. This powerful device is a great value. It's also easy to use!Simply place a the bait in the designated bait compartment, place in a location with high rodent activity and power on. Advanced smart circuit technology senses when a mouse enters the tunnel, triggering the system to deliver a pain free and humane high voltage shock. A green LED light blinks to indicate a kill. The kill chamber is conveniently removable so you can easily dispose of the dead rodent without having to touch or even see it.This removable chamber also makes baiting easy. The brand new and original design of the electric trap provides better plate access so you can easily clean it between uses. Plus, the tunnel design and built-in safety switch, which deactivates the trap when opened, helps to protect children and pets. The unique tunnel design and beveled columns serve an added purpose of holding mice in place over the electrified plates to prevent escapes. The Hoont Electric Mouse Trap requires no poison or chemicals and can be used anywhere inside your home or business to ensure years of effective mouse and small rat control.

BEST TRAP EVER!!
This trap is hands down the best mousetrap on the market!!! I have been struggling to catch a smart mouse in my kitchen for weeks. He licked the snap traps clean every time, and even avoided the sticky traps that I hate using.First night of using this trap he was caught!!The design of this trap makes for a quick humane kill every time. There is no way for the mouse get to the bait without making contact with the two metal pads. Then just pop the kill chamber off, and you can easily dispose of the mouse, WITHOUT touching it.I really like that this trap came included with the ac adapter so I did not have to use batteries. Also, I love the indicator light! I hid this trap under my sink, and left the LED cord sticking out of my cupboard door. Now I can check the trap at a glance without opening up the cupboard or the trap!I found out about this trap on Mousetrap Monday’s Shawn Woods YouTube Channel! If you would like to see it in action watch his review of it on YouTube!!!

Doesn't work if it doesn't ship with all of the parts
If you want to sell a quality product, you should ship it with all of the parts, should go without saying, right? By reading other reviews, I know I'm not alone. It didn't come with the baffle, the only part that actually makes this thing work.Update: I ordered a replacement trap, and again, no baffle. So this is 2 traps that didn't come with the one part that makes the trap work. If you want people to buy your product, how do you let this happen more than once and not make it right?

Moderately effective but very poor documentation. And I don’t think my remote led works at all. An
4 stars because it does what it is supposed to - kill rodents. But 1 star deducted because the documentation is not good and I think I’ve got a faulty unit.So purchased this. First issue is - how to bait it. The documentation spends a lot of time talking about why you shouldn’t touch it without gloves, etc. No where does is describe where the bait should be placed (well a fairly unclear picture was given) but no context - I’m used to products that have an exploded numbered view that gives basically all the info you need. Not this product. You have to try pushing various clips until, oh yeah, that looks like the bait picture. So put peanut butter on the bait prong. Then you look at the two cables. One is the power supply - no problem. What’s this other cable.? Look at reviews. Oh it’s the remote led (none of this is mentioned in the documentation). Plug both in. Unit starts to pulse a red light. Remote led never lights up at all. Back to minimal documentation and reviews here - see it’s supposed to pulse red until a mouse is caught, at which point it changes to green. Fine. Except - it never does change to green. I’m thinking - oh haven’t caught anything, but there is a dead mouse in the trap.So it works. But the remote led doesn’t do anything and the only time I get any green light is when I plug it in. I’m not sufficiently irritated to return it but be warned.

A Better Mousetrap
Several weeks ago, the Einstein of mice took up residence in my home. After spotting him scurrying across my kitchen floor and escaping behind my refrigerator, I set a standard trap. For years, I had used the simple, inexpensive, time-tested Victor mouse traps, and they always worked flawlessly - and so I baited it and set it out. But this mouse was too smart - that night, he set it off but escaped unscathed. I set it again, and then again - and this mouse set it off each night without being caught. I decided that this trap must be defective and changed it to different Victor trap - and the same thing happened. So, I searched Amazon for “the best mousetrap” and settled on the Flylet traps. They got 5-stars - and they were easy to bait and set. That night, the mouse came out, equipped with a measuring tape, protractor, notebook (and a tiny little calculator) and studied the new contraption. It was clear that he hadn’t seen this device before and he needed to study it. He took notes and left. Three nights later, he set off the trap and escaped again unharmed! Clearly, the Einstein or Houdini of Rodents! Then, I purchased the Hoont Electric Trap. (Note: The instructions which were enclosed are outdated. This device no longer comes with the “baffle” which was referred to in the enclosed instructions, but I contacted the company and they said that the newer models do not need it.) I set it out, and baited the trap. Sure enough, the mouse came out and studied it. But - there were no moving parts. No springs. Just an empty chamber. The mouse did not see anything suspicious. He entered the chamber and was executed. Now, Im trying to live with the guilt. — On a more serious note, this trap is extremely easy to set. It’s small an unobtrusive. The mouse is killled instantly so that it is more humane than the spring-set traps (where an injured animal might lie, trapped, and die over the next 10 minutes.) It’s sanitary in that there’s no blood releases, and it’s simple to dispose of the dead mouse. I give this trap 5-stares.

It's smaller, safer
We think this electronic mousetrap is better than the larger ones we have ordered and used in the past. This one is safer because there are baffles to keep children's fingers and cat paws away from the shock. And because it is smaller, it's less obtrusive, and easier to leave out. (Although it is plenty big enough for a mouse -- we actually caught two at one time.) The bait is easier to set because it is on a stick attached to the open door, not down inside the trap. The first night, we caught three mice altogether, which were seemed to be all there were because there was no further evidence of mice after that. We left the trap out, and a month later, we caught another, who must have just wandered in, because there were no earlier signs of him on the counter or shelves. I would definitely recommend this trap over the others we have tried.
