After 7 months of use the door to access the batteries and sd card broke off at the hinge. Everything else works well.

Picture quality is adequate. Have had it up about 2 months. Already had to replace 8 AA batteries. Seems excessive. Would rather have real buttons to program not a remote that can be misplaced or lost. Very difficult seeing what mode (on, set up, or off) with camera on the tree. All controls are on the bottom, and very small.

I think this camera is super for its price. I've never used one before, but was able to figure it out without directions. Kind of sucks that the only way to navigate through the screen and settings is with a remote, (don't lose it). The photo quality seems to be really good. I actually bought it for my sister to catch a thief while she was at work. I didn't get to test the audio yet, but will update once I do that. Night vision seems maybe a little too sensitive, not sure if there's a setting for that? (Like I said, I didn't read the directions yet). Since I mainly needed it for during the day, i just shut the auto night vision feature off so no one would see the lights (I feel like they were super bright). I brought it to work thinking my boss & co workers could help me get it set up, but they went through all the settings and said it was good to go, but gave me some good pointers such as video clip length, and how I should keep it lower than what I had it set on... they were "jealous" and all want one now- so I may be ordering more. :) All in all, like I said, seems to be a great trail cam for the price!

Found the culprit coming it to eat the dog food. He has since had an accident.

the good: Good money for the price, day light pictures are great, night pictures are as to be expected. No visible light the bad: Definitely not a 16mp camera. If you run your camera on both pic and video do not expect the batteries to last (mine only lasted 9 days..I would recommend keeping intervals at 5 min and disabling video and your batteries will last). Only controlled by a remote. I hope you don't lose it or else there is no way to control it. It feels cheap. Bottom line, you get what you pay for. Would I get it again..probably.
