Delicious. I don't mind eating these straight out of the jar, but they're fabulous mixed into brownies.

I've been playing around with all manner of Manhattan concoctions. I fell in love with Luxardo cherries, and have used them exclusively for a while. And then I started noticing people talking about and really liking these Fabbri cherries. They aren't quite as dense as Luxardo, which is neither good nor bad. Just different. I do like the aroma and the taste of the syrup in these cherries better than that of Luxardo. I find that the Luxardo syrup is slightly medicine in flavor -- akin to Robitussin, oddly enough, but it seems this only happens when I use a metal spoon to remove the cherries from the jar. I was given the gift of a dark, wooden spoon with a hole in the middle of the "bowl" by the kind husband of one of the doctors my wife works for. And I've discovered that, using this spoon, there isn't the same medicine flavor from the Luxardo syrup. However, using the metal spoon in these Amarena Fabbri cherries doesn't have that effect. Interesting. These are also slightly smaller than Luxardos, and the container is smaller, and the price is smaller. So you'll have to do some math to figure out what the better bargain is. But we're not here for bargains, we're here for flavor. This is why we try out all of the gourmet cherries and compare them one to another. Either brand is fantastic for pretty much anything you'd like to apply cherries to. I like two of 'em in my Manhattans.

This is for a one cup size, previously I had the larger one. I kind of like the smaller size for storage obviously won’t last as long but they have a great taste. I love to add them to my sparkling waters to make it cherry flavoured. It’s a fun treat for my mock tails.

The ceramic jar arrived beautifully wrapped and clearly handled with great care. The amarena cherries inside are absolutely exquisite—rich, flavorful, and totally worth every penny.

I don't know how I stumbled onto these cherries, but I'm glad I did. I read the reviews for a while before I finally decided to order them. They're really every bit as good as the hype. I sort of suspect that's partially due to the "natural flavor" additive, which is quite strong and "natural flavors" are known excitotoxins. This is probably what makes them taste "addictive," too. But I don't really care, because these are delicious and a treat that I only indulge in periodically. I served these in some bitters and soda cocktails at Thanksgiving and they were a big hit. The cherries are on the soft side, and they're small, so it does take a little dexterity to skewer them successfully. I found them to be a great balance of tart and sweet. They're a dark red color, and there's quite a bit of red syrup in the jar, too, which can be used as flavoring in other desserts (I saw some folks here suggest ice cream topping). The jar is pretty, but it's just clear glass with a shrink wrapped white plastic label that makes it look like white decorated ceramic. It's lovely to look at in my refrigerator, but not nice enough to save.

I like these cherries for old fashioneds but didn't notice that this was a very small jar so I'm taking away a star.

These Italian Amarena cherries are so delicious! Their syrup is also delicious! Great for bakes or topping desserts.

Use every summer.....

Although we love these cherries, until very recently they were reasonably priced but have doubled in last few months. Found them in a local store for half the price after this purchase, so be very wary as it was a huge disappointment.
