The mounting system I needed.
I couldn't use a conventional screw type mount and this one works perfectly for my needs. Very good arm all around, easy to adjust and seems very sturdy.

mostly very good with one flaw (that's common in most monitor arms)
i have a few 1.2 lb lightweight usb external monitors i like to use along with my main monitors. i've tried many different types but either the arm doesn't extend much (the straight pole types without elbows), or the minimum weight requirement is too high (allowing for only the highest position). this definitely fits the bill. i was skeptical at first, but after turning the adjustment screw many times over, it actually was detensioned enough to hold a 1.2 lb monitor.the clamp is better than most, arm design is simple and robust, seems to be made out of sturdy materials.the flaw i mention in the title is due to where the VESA plate attaches to the arm- it's just not stable, meaning there's a bit of play. it's really unfortunate, but most of the sub-$100 arms seems to be like this. so although not perfect, still giving it 5 stars.really don't care for the usb ports at the front as if i need more ports, i'd rather get a dedicated unit for it, and not try to have my monitor arm do too much. actually i think it cheapens the look a bit by trying to do too much.i also don't dig the logo on the clamp much. i generally do not like logos on products but this logo isn't very aethetic. if this product proves worthy to keep after 30 days without issues, i'll be looking to erase the logo off.otherwise, seems to be a very nice product, and so far worth the premium

Best brand for monitor mounts that I've found
How did I go about all these years without these?! I recently decided to go the ultrawide route and wanted a vertical setup and my oh my, I absolutely am overjoyed with how it turned out. I have so much desk space I almost don't know what to do with it all. I have an IKEA Fredde desk and the clamps fit just right. I had to put a piece of wood under one bit, but a few weeks in and it seems to be holding up just fine. Super easy to install and make adjustments. I posted this item to my Discord group and will highly recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade their setup.

Quality Product, decent services, with a few forgivable issues.
Let me first say that I do like this product. It is well thought out, and I believe it is sturdy and good quality. I installed using the grommet through the desk (the instructions really did NOT help with this in terms of how to measure, etc. If mounting through the desk, you will need to make sure that you leave enough room for the plate under the desk to ensure it will fit. I got it "just right", almost by accident. Once installed, it is very sturdy on the desk-top. My 32" curved Philips is on the high end of the recommended range at 17 lbs, but it seems to hold up very nicely. I did have to significantly tighten the VESA Mount so it would not "droop" but the limits the tilting function. Here's the issues I had with my particular delivery:1. Missing Parts: The VESA Mounts were missing from the box (Poor Quality Control or..... a Return).- I received on a Sunday so called next business day and the rep' promptly sent via USPS Priority Mail the 2 VESA mounts that SHOULD have been in the box. At that point I didn't really inspect much closer. I should have.2. Clearly a Return: As can be seen from the tool marks on the pic I posted, it had been previously used / installed / whatever. None of this affects functionality, but when I buy New, I want NEW, not "New-ish"...3. Also Missing: Underneath the base, there are rubber washers to protect the desktop. Mine was missing 1 and the other I found in stuck to the top of the base. Again, quality check issues. I had to fabricate something to keep the plate properly "balanced" (used a 3M strip that I cut).Since I had to seriously tighten the VESA mount, I'm not really able to tilt the monitor much as previously noted. The height adjustment from the base is a very novel mechanism. You pull out the lever and drop it back down to rotate it. This means you don't have to use a wrench or screwdriver to adjust. The main post does have 2 very small screws that can be tightened once you screw the mounting post into place, however they are small and a bit flimsy, so I just left them as they are.I like that the Base has USB ports and it came with 2 3.0 USB cables, so very nice to have that for charging USB devices, etc. The VESA mounts are also quick-release in case you have to remove or change the monitor (nice). For the price, I think this is a decent product and I would recommend it, just be sure you get what you pay for, and confirm the box contents before you start to install.Recommend if you plan to use this for a Sit/Stand type of application that you put the arm support higher on the post.Installation Tip for using Grommet.1. As my father used to say. Measure twice, cut once. Make sure you have the positioning of the mount before you drill a hole in your desk, I marked mine, but I also put duct-tape on the desk top and bottom, before I drilled the hole just in case the drill slipped or the finish started to separate. Minimum desk thickness is 1" I believe (which mine is).

Hands down, the best arm out there.
If you ask me, this is the end stage of monitor arm design. This thing is made 90% out of metal materials, so you actually feel confident mounting your expensive tech on it. The way it attaches to your desk is brilliant, low profile, less of a hassle, and will keep the back of your desk tidy and free of those annoying twist knob style adjustors. It is absolutely effortless to move your monitor around once installed. On-unit cable management is always a huge plus. It's less bulky than other arms out there. Then there's the price... You can find similarly designed arms out there, but you'll be paying dearly for them. VIVO wins again in the price category. For me, this is the only option. I will not buy anything else, and in my humble opinion, neither should you.

High quality, great design
I was very impressed with the quality of this product. In particular, I really like the way all the pieces go together, especially the way the arm clips to the VESA plate on the back of the monitor. I also really liked the design of the desk mount system. Unfortunately, the post that attaches to the desk mount and holds the arms is too high for my situation so I had to return it. Otherwise I would’ve definitely kept it.
