Professional Watercolour Brushes Synthetic Set - 6 Faux Squirrel for Artist

Love these, so far so good

I bought my set back in 2019 and have used them regularly. I use at least one brush from this set per painting - I just happen to because they are excellent and my go to. I always reach for them. I dont remember if they shed in the beginning when I first got them but I think I would have remembered if they did, so I doubt it. I love this set. 4 years of use and they still look brand new, no shedding, no frayed hairs. I only bought the one set in 2019 and I havent repurchased because there was no need to but Im thinking about buying another set just in case something happens to mine or they stop selling them and also to support the brand. Ive only used these for watercolours and ink. Acrylic and oil arent really my preferred media so I cant speak for them

I am pleased to say that these Black Tulip faux squirrel brushes are every bit as good as the top Amazon reviews I read before ordering them. (Make sure to remove the gelatin that is on the bristles first by agitating the bristles it the bottom of your water container). The cat's tongue brush is especially brilliant as I can paint an entire picture with it. It is especially good for painting leaves. Zen Art's customer service is as good as their products too and I can see myself buying many more of them.

Just starting up my watercolour painting again and saw this set which has a number of very useful brushes. I had a slight problem with a couple of them and contacted ZenArt who sorted the issue very quickly. The product is 5star the only reason that overall I gave 4 is that when I wanted to contact Zen online I had to do do via Facebook/Messenger which I’m not prepared to do. There may be a way around that but I don’t know what that would be. I did contact them via email and got an immediate reply and some very good help from Ryan. Would definitely recommend both the company and these brushes

I;m a beginner water colourist and have been using student grade brushes but decided to upgrade. I;m so glad that I bought these brushes, they are much better than the ones I have been using till now...they hold plenty of water, have a good snap and seem to keep their shape really well. The round brushes have an incredible point to get a really fine line. The only downside is that the cat;s tongue brush has shed several hairs whilst I was rinsing it under the tap and I;m just hoping it doesn;t lose any more. Apart from this I;m really happy with my new brushes! ETA 2/4/20: ZenArt contacted me about the faulty cat;s tongue brush - a week later I received a replacement brush in the post! Super customer service and I really love using these brushes. Excellent product and customer service.

The ZenART brushes I purchased have been amazing. I’ve used them for the better part of a year and the bristles are phenomenal. My glue on my largest brush has loosened a little, but that could be through my bad handling and using them a few days a week every week. Overall, I’d say they’re fantastic and I would absolutely recommend them to artists of all skill levels and I’ll be keeping an eye on other products from this brand for myself!

Firstly I don’t like my brushes getting dirty, so I’ve searched for some black bristled ones for a while. I couldn’t afford other prices, I then spotted these. These brushes hold a good amount of water, keep there shape, don’t shed any hairs, easy to hold, not to chunky or heavy. All individually wrapped with the round brushes having caps to keep the bristles in place and they come in a wallet. I uploaded a photo which I posted on my Instagram account and shared my thoughts there too. Absolutely beautiful, I love working with these brushes, such a great company!!

Fantastic set of brushes highly recommended!. Brushes feel great in your hand good weight and length to them I find gives more control the fine tip on the end of the brushes allowed me to get great detail without using various brushes to achieve this it also allowed me to go from very loose painting to very fine detail with only 1 brush really impressed with these brushes and I would highly recommend anyone to use them fantastic set of brushes! 10 out of 10!

Ieri li ho provati con una nuova illustrazione. Ho usato l'8 e il 2 punta tonda. Mi sono sembrati rispondere bene. Mi é piaciuta la presa del colore e la morbidezza. Forse mi é sembrato "risucchiare" poco il colore eventualmente in eccesso sulla carta. Ma é un dettaglio che capirò meglio con i prossimi lavori. Bene la tenuta della forma e la precisione. In generale mi sembrano davvero ottimi e super consigliati in rapporto alla qualità prezzo. Per ora forse aggiungerei soltanto il cappuccio protettivo anche a quelli piatti (chi li tiene in un astuccio da viaggio di quelli che si arrotolano, potrebbe accidentalmente rovinarli per quanta attenzione possa metterci.. Anche se ho visto che asciugandosi bene si induriscono e questo é positivo). Ma magari penserei ad un materiale diverso dalla plastica.. Mi piace poi la vision dell'azienda che sembra dare all'arte un'attenzione particolare rispetto al benessere della persona. Solo per questo li sosterrei sempre!

Edit: The brush was replaced after I messaged them via email, they replied within a few days and also replaced the frayed brush free of charge! I am absolutely in love with the new one, it's in perfect condition, and even came with a little hand-signed note. I am a big fan of their customer service, and will definitely buy ZenArt brushes again in the future! Highly recommended! Only four stars because one of the brushes arrived with the tip slightly damaged: Unfortunately, the very end of the tip of the size 8 round brush is frayed, so the brush can't be used to paint finer lines any more. Because that's the main reason I chose to buy these synthetic brushes, I will try to contact ZenArt about a possible replacement, as their customer services has been praised by other customers before. Overall, I am very happy with the quality of the other brushes: they hold a lot of water, are easy to clean and allow for a strong, clear flow of paint. They're fabricated beautifully, the black bristles give them an elegant look. With the exception of the damaged one, the round brushes have very pointy tips and can be used for fine lines as well as broad strokes. My favourite so far is the cat's tongue, as I have never used one of these before, but this one is definitely fun to paint with.
