Great scope for the money
Build quality is great, it’s easy to view and set up. Owned this scope for around 6 months. If you get issues then contact celestron who appear to own zhumell. This is pretty much identical to the Orion 114 starblast. The eyepieces it comes with are okish but I invested in a better 6mm and 9mm and made a great improvement. Highly recommend this scope for the price.

A good beginners telescope.
Zhumell ZHUS002-1 Z114 Portable Altazimuth Reflector Telescope, Black The telescope. This is a basic reflector telescope with a 4-inch mirror. It is mounted on a simple Altazimuth mount and comes with two eye pieces, object finder, screw driver and a mirror cover. Build quality. It is well made and finished and should last years. Set up. Being a portable telescope with a simple mount there is no setting up needed. You move the telescope manually to track objects in the night sky. It is not designed for photography or serious observation but it is the sort of telescope to give to a child to fire up and interest in astronomy. I positioned it on a gate post and it was fine as the post was solid. What can you see? The moon looks great through it and you can see many craters on it. Mars, Saturn and Jupiter are in the sky at the moment and you can see how red Mars looks. The rings of Saturn are just visible and you can see banding on Jupiter. Deep sky objects like galaxies may be a bit more difficult but not impossible to see. Overall. A great portable beginners’ astronomy telescope. Everything you need is here to start enjoying the night sky.

Useless
I was disappointed with this item because it was out of focus on arrival and can't be brought into focus. The instructions - both pamphlet and online - are unclear and the focussing knobs are so tight they must be turned with pliers. Additionally, because the viewfinder is in the side of the unit, the user must stand at right angles so this limits the convenience of locating it - more space is needed around it. Because it's dependent on the height of whatever it's placed on means it's further limited; unless you happen to have a window ledge/car roof/table/whatever of the right height to place it on then it can't be used. The laser spot alignment feature is quite poor. The enclosed battery was dead on arrival and despite a replacement it works only intermittently. Not that it makes any difference in the case of the unit received - it's so badly out of line and focus that sighting is impossible anyway. Better to spend the extra and buy a regular-style telescope.

You can do better
Unfortunately no where as clear as I thought it would be , the 10mm doesn’t provide as much detail as I expected, can anyone recommend more powerful lenses for clearer detail let’s say of mars or rings of Saturn?

This is a great telescope for my kids. I got this scope to teach my 5-year-old about astronomy and this scope has exceeded my expectations. At first glance, it is a small aperture, but includes a very nice red dot finder scope and an alt-azimuth "Dobsonian" style mount. This is great for my kids as we will mostly be looking at bright objects in the sky and won't need the aperture for distant objects or the full field correction for doing astro-photography. As for the quality, the mount and telescope are well constructed and the primary mirror was perfectly collimated upon arrival and required no adjustment to get up and going. One of the screws for the elevation stage had fallen out during shipment, but it was very easy to put it back and holds well. The kit includes two eyepieces, one for wide-field viewing (17mm) and a short focal length (10mm) for distance viewing. The wide-field looks to be of great quality and I plan to use that as the main power-house... the short eyepieces in kits like these will work for distance viewing, but they have a very narrow field, and are uncomfortable to use in my opinion, that said, the optical quality of the one included in this kit was pretty impressive, I was able to clearly see the rings of Saturn and it's brightest moon, Titan. It also has a modular lens cap that is able to stop down your entrance aperture for viewing very bright objects like the moon and Venus. i find this feature very nice, as the full aperture tended to be a little too bright for the moon in my opinion. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and would happily recommend this scope for anyone looking to get into astronomy or as an educational gift for a child. If you're a discerning amateur astronomer, stay tuned, as I am planning to get this mounted on my tracker and use it for some photography with my DSLR in a few weeks, I'll post some pictures when I get them.

Tried to use a laser collimator to fine tune for best images. But the sliding focus tube is so loose inside the mounted housing that alignment is Impossible. For this kind of investment you should get something better than nickel and dime cheap parts.
