Progressive Prepworks Purple Onion Keeper (1, A)

This product works great. Keeps onions fresh. I use two of these for the different types of onions I have.

I have moved to these sorts of containers for cut veggies, as the veggies last longer in them, and no more plastic bags. This one is great because it can hold a really big onion. YEA!NOW, they need to make this one with a yellow or white bottom, for the white onions.

I love this product because it keeps my onion fresh keeps the onion smell out of refrigerator. I highly recommend this product.

Great size, flat top for stacking, sturdy. BUT the top doesn't stay screwed on. It loosens on its own as you're carrying from refrigerator to counter top, meaning it will likely fall off and break some day. They need to design a screw on top that fits snug when fully closed.

After looking at different onion or green pepper keepers, so many of them seemed too small. I like this one! I usually have large green peppers with small strips cut out of it, so I like to wrap up the remainder in a paper towel and store in this (the paper towel keeps it more crispy and fresh). I find this one really convenient since it has a flat top and flat bottom, so things can be stacked on top or underneath. Most others have rounded or veggie shaped tops that aren't practical when space is at a premium. I actually like the twist closure on this one - simple and easy to do. Feels more secure, unlike my old style that would pop open easily if bumped. I actually went back and bought a second one to store my chopped veggies for quicker meal prep - just turn it upside down with dome side down and purple base on top, so it's like a bowl with a screw-on lid. Really love these!

It works great because almost any onion fit perfect so your house or fridge is no smelly. A great item for your onions 🧅😉

Basically it’s ok. But, at least with the one I received, there isn’t a secure closing mechanism. When you turn the lid, it should close snugly, but this one was quite loose and would easily open and spill if not super careful when handling it. An onion keeper shouldn’t require that much concern. LolMaybe I got a lemon, but I’d rather not try again only to get another dud, I will try a different brand. I had a different one for many years that worked great until it got dropped and it cracked, so I know there are good ones to be found.

This is the fourth brand of onion keeper I've purchased, and finally I found one which works as it should. I liked the Hutzler onion keeper, but every time I dropped one the thin plastic in the center broke, making it unusable. It was also difficult to open with damp hands. I tried another brand which was made of such cheap plastic it arrived already broken. I tried another brand with a long "nose" which wouldn't close properly. This one is perfect. It is large enough for the biggest onion, it can be turned upside down to store a good amount of chopped onions, and it is sturdier plastic than any others I've tried. The design makes it easy to open and close. Finally, the perfect onion keeper!
