Cool Crosswords for Kids: 74 Super Puzzles to Solve

It is great that solutions are posted in the back. I couldn't do a puzzle without them. I would think it would be very discouraging for a child to have no recourse to solve a problem so the answers are one reason I like this. The other is that the puzzles seem "up to date" and contain questions that most kids would be familiar with.

Maybe I missed it but they should have specified what age this was good for. I bought it for my 7 year old. When I opened it and looked at some of the clues, they were way too hard for her (and she's relatively bright). There were some that I didn't even know. Since it said it was for kids, I expected the clues to be simple and basic but they weren't. I think it's definitely geared towards older "kids". Not a total loss though. My husband will probably enjoy it!

My 10-year old daughter loves to read, loves puzzles and brain teasers and this is her first exposure to crosswords. Awesome choice for her, she's loving it! Great bonding experience for us to work on these together.

I bought this thinking that the crossword puzzles were completely interlocked, but they are not. Every other letter is interlocked. It would have been nice to know before I bought it.

Great collection of crosswords for pre-teens. My ten year olds loved working on them, though they sometimes needed a little help. They prefer this to puzzles that are too easy.

Grandson tried to work my crossword puzzle but found it to hard. He doesn't have the age to have the knowledge. Got him this for Christmas and he loves working them.

The cover gives the impressions all kids will love the crosswords. After trying two puzzles our 7 seven year old daughter said she found it too difficult to figure out on her own. With some prompting and additional clues other than what was provided helped but as parents both my wife and I agreed some clues were not very intuitive or obvious. This one ended up on her bookshelf and she will try it again when she is a bit older.Hope this review someone to decide if they should purchase this book for their own kids or as a gift.

This little book is not only for kids, but for adults too. I am not big on normal adult crosswords, and word puzzles. This book is very good for all. I have been using more and more of these younger person books and just love them. I am a college educated person so it is not for lack of trying the adult type puzzles. By using this book I have realized that it is OK to try it and other similar books.

Not pleased that the clues; therefore, the answers also, are U.S.A. I am looking for a children's crosswords puzzle book just for the Canadians.
