Stained (Burning Souls) Paperback – July 1, 2013

Maddox and Harper are two crazy in love people who are having a hard time getting it right, when it comes to being in love with each other. I'm telling you these two are driving each other too madness. And I'm loving it. Rockstar and his love for his innocent girlfriend or maybe not his girlfriend, that's where the madness comes into play. Maddox has issues and rightfully so. He been through somethings that are unimaginable. But, one thing that is so consistent, is his love for Harper. Still, he has his girl not knowing which way is up. I believe in book II these two will get it right. Or maybe not. I'm just enjoying their madness. I so recommend! You will not be disappointed. ENJOY!

I've read a few books by this author and after reading "Her First Kiss" and "His First Crush", it occurred to me that I hadn't read the supporting characters stories and decided that Maddox's journey was something I was interested in, so here we are. I'm feel as though the author did a great job of portraying a somewhat troubled guy who had a horrible childhood compared to most, one who not only survived but also tried to help others survive as well. There are many sides to Maddox but I feel the one we see the most in this story is his need for control, completely understandable considering, but we also see his heart and at his core, he's a wonderful person who is struggling to overcome his past while trying to figure out how he fits into the present. The issues with Harper are mostly typical, if you take out the "Rock Star" baggage, you have a couple of young adults fumbling though emotions, communication and pretty much life. Good story

This book takes off where Wrapped in Always and Forever takes off but this story is about Maddox Hines and his first Love Harper. Maddox has been in love with Harper since the first time he saw her when he was fifteen years old.His life had changed so much since he was taken out of a loveless family that was being paid to take care of him. Brody and Emma took him and showed him what real family was about but he refused to believe he was really worthy of their love and support.He also didnt think he deserved Harpers love and often pushed her away.This book is the first of three in the series, buy all three cause you wont put them down. You'll want to go on their journey to see how they get their HEA. There's murder, kidnapping and other mysteries involved in their story.Maddox's is a beautiful tragic soul and you'll love him from the moment you start the stories.

Amazing story, loved this book. I started with the Love series and then the Wrapped Series and then on to this series. You have to read them in sequence so that you understand about the entire family, and it all pieces together. Not sure which story I enjoy the most, Tessa/Lucas/Collin or Emma/Brody or Harper/Maddox they are ALL good. They only issue I had was with the Love series wanting the main characters together other than that I have LOVED all of the books. With this book, it was very emotional and the back story to Maddox is so sad, and makes me want the best for him. I have to say that I have been hooked (I am have read almost the whole series, Love, Wrapped in You and Burning Souls in almost a week that is how much I have enjoyed this story. PLEASE WRITE MORE. I am a fan for life.

Maddox Hines has been freed from a home that was not a fairy tale. He was locked in closets, beaten and treated horribly. He has just met his father who he knew nothing about. His father, his wife and daughter have taken him into their arms and love him fully but he doesn't know how to accept their love. Maddox meets Harper and knows he doesn't deserve even her friendship. He pushes her away but she is in his heart and he in hers...loved it couldn't wait to start the next book

This book is a spin off of the Wrapped Series (which I loved) and it is HOT, HOT, HOT! Harper and Maddox are my favorite couple right now and I can't wait to read more in Forged! I was frustrated and angry at times while reading this book and then I found myself swooning over Maddox, I felt like such a cougar! He is yummy and adorable and although I wanted to strangle him, I mostly loved him. I can't wait to find out if they get their happily ever after because I sure want them to.

This book has been on my to read list for a while now. I'm not sure what took me so long to read it. I spent one whole afternoon/evening wrapped up in the world of Harper and Maddox.So far I am loving this series and today I start on the second book. I would highly recommend these books to anyone looking for something good t read. I liked that the other characters in M.J. Fields were present in this. Looking forward to seeing what's going to happen next.

How much I love this book. I am waiting with incredible anticipation for book 2 to come out, and cannot wait to get an ARC and read it. I'm just in awe of how the author (MJ Fields) truly wove all of these beautifully broken characters into this brilliant tale. She weaves a quilt so amazingly well over these characters, that I sometimes sit in disbelief that she even actually was able to pull it all off. Beautiful job, MJ...can't wait to read the rest! :-)

I love this author but omg, I just found this book confusing. Wasn’t sure of background and whose perspective the story was being told the father or son. Obviously the father had his own series and I’ve not read it, but in all honesty don’t think I’ll pursue it or more of this one. Felt disjointed and poor explanations. Sorry but I’m sooo disappointed.

As with all her other books, MJ Fields had me sucked right into this book from the get go. The angst of teenage love, the emotional roller coaster one feels through it all, the growth and the changes the characters go through, it all comes to wrap you up in a story you feel like you are actually living. I was mesmerized by this book and didn't want it to end. These characters and their stories will live in me forever.
