I've been very happy with this Chefman 4.5L Deep Fryer. It heats up quickly, maintains temperature well, and makes crispy fries, chicken, and other fried foods with excellent results. The large 4.5-liter capacity is perfect for family meals, and the basket is spacious enough to cook a good amount of food at once. I also like the adjustable temperature control and timer, which make cooking easy and consistent. The stainless-steel design looks nice on the countertop, and the removable oil container makes cleanup much easier than I expected. For the price, this fryer offers great value and performs just as well as more expensive models I've used. If you're looking for a reliable deep fryer that is simple to use and delivers restaurant-style results at home, I would definitely recommend this Chefman model. Over the years I've tried several deep fryers here on Amazon and returned most of them. I have a T-Fal which is excellent that is a dedicated fryer just for French Fries in pure Tallow. However, I needed another, large fryer for breaded products. We season a lot of Okra or Zucchini, Mushrooms, Shrimp, Fish, and Chicken (see my review on the wonderful Breading Bowl) and this fryer is perfect. It holds a gallon of oil. The basket is wide and large so I can get all the pieces of a whole small chicken in it. Similarly, I can put at least 1 whole Zucchini in the basket which have been sliced into 1/8" rounds. This large size makes it much more faster and easier to fry anything. This fryer was designed here in America but made in China. And at least they got it right! The temperature is in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius and goes to 375. What is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT is that the temperature on the dial actually matches the temperature of the oil. I've used 2 different (calibrated) instant-read thermometers and this fryer puts the temperature exactly where it says. Another IMPORTANT thing to know about this fryer is that it not only heats up fast... it recovers quickly when products are placed into the oil. I use to own a Snack Food Manufacturing Company. I had huge fryers. The temperature recovery is the most important process in quality frying. Do NOT put in any fryer COLD items. Let your chicken, fish or vegetables come up to room temperature and bread them. Fry them at 350 to 365 (check your internal temperature with a thermometer for doneness) till golden. Just be aware that if you put in your food COLD, this will drop the temperature of any fryer and how fast it can recover is how good quality it is. If it recovers slowly your food is NOT being cooked at the temperature you set at the thermostat. In fact, it will take much longer to cook and may even be under cooked! Not only that, the food will absorb more oil and be greasy. For the price, this Fryer is excellent. Its large, good looking, easy to use, works as it should, and easy to clean. Let your oil cool off for a couple of hours then strain your oil through a funnel lined with a filter or cheesecloth back into its bottle. We purchase the 1 gallon bottles of Peanut Oil here on Amazon for many years. Peanut oil has a high smoking point and is excellent for frying breaded products and fries. Don't let your oil (or Tallow) sit in the fryer. Oxygen can make it rancid. Especially the fried breading which falls to the bottom will also deteriorate the oil. The fryer is easy to clean. Just use hot soapy water on the oil container and GENTLY clean the heating element. Never get the controls wet. I highly recommend this fryer for home use. The price was good and shipping was fast. It's designed in the USA.

Did My Research — Very Happy With My Choice! I did quite a bit of research before purchasing a deep fryer, comparing both features and price, and ultimately chose this Chefman because of its larger capacity and the features it offered. I’ve now used it several times and have absolutely no regrets. It has worked perfectly every time. The 4.5-liter capacity is one of my favorite features. It’s plenty large enough to fry a good amount of food at once, making it practical when you're cooking for several people instead of having to make multiple tiny batches. It’s easy to use, performs consistently, and gives me exactly the results I was looking for. After comparing several options, I’m very happy I chose this one. Definitely recommend!

I have only used this once to fry breaded fish. Worked great. Only once did I not look at the timer and it timed out and turned off. it took me awhile to understand why the fish were taking so long. duh. As one who had a pot of hot oil blow on me when making french fries decades ago and never since, I appreciate the breakaway cord to keep little ones safe. Simple to use, easy to clean. A drain would have been nice, but not necessary. a funnel worked just fine.

I am very satisfied with this product. The quality exceeded my expectations, and it is clearly well-made. It arrived in perfect condition, was easy to use, and lived up exactly to its promises. It offers excellent value for money, and I would definitely buy it again. I recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality product.

It worked great. I miss using it but the end of my cord melted to the receptacle and I notified the company about buying a new one and I haven't heard back and it's been 2 or 3 months ago. If you could help me get one I would really appreciate it just tell me where to send money.

The fryer works great! I wish the lid was better though - it doesn't fit on there flat & the little "slits" don't go around the heating elements like you'd think it would - those slits go around the basket. Used it 1 time and it seemed to work well, but the overall quality could be a little better.
