So much better!
These arrived extremely fast and the installation was easier than expected after watching a couple youtube videos. A little background the car I installed these on is a 2004 Mazda 3i with about 170k miles, and when I pressed down firmly on the left and right front of the car it would bounce about 3-4 times before stopping (bad sign). After installing both front sides the car comes back to neutral immediately after pushing down without bouncing, Even though the car is near the end of its life, this was absolutely worth the cost and the labor. As long as you have (or can borrow) a breaker bar, sockets, and a little muscle this is doable for most people.I had help from one other person and although it took some work to get the steering knuckle off the old shock/strut and on the new one, we were able to install this and the other side quick-strut assembly in about 2-3 hours. My car now drives significantly better, much smoother and quieter now that my shocks/struts are actually absorbing the impact. On a side note, the car seems to sit a little higher now after installing these but I think that's because it was sagging from the wear on the old shock/struts but I actually prefer the way it feels now.

Great product easy install. Just watched a YouTube video to do it.
Very easy install. Mechanic tried to charge me $1500 to do it only cost me $190 and 2 hours. Drove them on a 1,200 mile roadtrip worked perfectly.

Perfect struts for my 2008 Mazda 3 hatchback
Fit my 2008 Mazda 3 perfectly, and the ride is noticeably better. I still had to have the old ones removed and the new ones installed by a mechanic, because it was too difficult to remove the old struts. The problem I had with removing the old struts was separating the bottom part of the strut from what it is connected to. There are a lot of videos online that make it look extremely easy to uninstall your old struts, however it is a lot more difficult that what the videos make it appear. I would suggest that unless you're 100% confident that you know what you're doing, or have somebody who will be helping you out that knows what they're doing, to get these installed by a professional. Finding out in the middle of a installation that you're not able to finish the project is not a good situation to be in, since you will then need to be able to drive your car somewhere to get the project completed. Don't forget to you to replace your struts in pairs, and to get your car aligned afterwards, since your alignment usually changes after installing new struts. The other strut that you'll need for the other side of your car is the Monroe 172264.

Rides higher than the original.
Replaced my 2008 Mazda 3 hatchback sport, 2.3 l. Install was easy, however after the installation, I felt right away the front is about 1.5 inches higher than original height. I was hoping it will settle down after alignment and driving for a while. 20,000 miles later, my car is still front high.I think this spring rate is higher/stiffer than original. If I have to do it again, I'll keep the old spring and replace the strut and mount.

Buy the set instead of just one.
Replace them together, don't just do one then walk away. This is the full assembly to replace the one currently on your car.No need to swap parts within the assembly, just one whole piece. My front right was leaking after 94k miles so I decided to get them both replaced. You are going to need to unplug your battery, just one cable pull will do.The ABS cable needs to be unplugged during install. If you forget to uplung the battery, to reset the ABS and possibly DSC(looks like a car on a crooked road) after the work is done, just drive for like 20secs and that should do it.Alright, I think that is all the assist I can offer. The car does sit a little high, like about an inch or so maybe less. No big deal, it handles goooooood now, the height will adjust in the coming weeks.I've got some before photos and after below.172264 is the front left172263 is the front right.

Only 3 months old and already broken
I purchased and installed this strut assembly in late June of 2018. Here we are only 3 months later, and I have been noticing a popping sound coming from the front right side of my vehicle. Took it to the car shop yesterday and they identified that the strut is broken. You can see that the top bolt inside of the strut mount movels loosely when you push down on the right side of the vehicle. I hope that company is willing to refund the part, but I am waiting to hear back.

I was looking to restore the stock ride quality and these did it
These went into a Mazda 3. I just wanted to replace the stock suspension that was worn out with something to give it a comfortable ride again. These work very well and have restored the ride quality. I would recommend these.

Highly recommend for OE applications
These were a life saver. Took the old ones out and didn’t have to fumble around or risk my life with a spring compressor tool. Fit was spot on and these fixed the clunk noise from the front of the car. Took a week for the springs to settle but after they matched the oem height.
