I wasn't looking for great literature. I wouldn't suggest it for a book ...
I bought this b/c of the title. We own a vacation home in Naples. It's interesting to have places with which I am familiar woven into the story. I had predicted each of the plot twists long before they became evident. I wouldn't buy anything else by this author. I thought the writing style was juvenile. I wasn't looking for great literature. I wouldn't suggest it for a book club. I won't pass it on to a friend. I may leave it in my guest room--only due to the Naples references.

A Real Page Turner
Ms. Ketcham through her protagonist, Jazz Billings, manages to involve the reader with the hues of sunset contrasted with mucky swampland and the upscale shopping malls of Naples, Florida in her second mystery adventure book. She simultaneously keeps the plot's action crisp amd lively page by page while giving insight into herheroine's feelings and motivations. A great read that kept me involved to the very end.I'm already looking forward to Jazz's next turn of events.

A Fun Read
The writing is good. Funny in places. The main character really came alive in my mind and I could see her as the detective in future novels.I usually do not read thrillers or detective novels, but chose this one since it takes place where I live, Naples, FL. But even though the book is outside my usual genre, I enjoyed the story. The ending was a bit contrived though.

Thoroughly Enjoyable
I freely admit that I am predisposed to enjoying a book more if I am familiar with it's setting and this is no exception. This mystery is as good as any other of its genre that I have read and better than many. The plot twists and turns are a little different and I agree with the reviewers who think it would be a good movie for television. The characters are well defined and developed and the plot has good pacing. I read it in an afternoon (all afternoon!) and couldn't put it down. Sorry to see it end.

A Must Read
What an exciting mystery! I loved this book. It is a quick read and that is a good thing because once I started I couldn't put It down. Being a former teacher I was especially interested in the girls attending the exclusive private school and how bullying and the desire to be accepted led them to serious trouble. Ketcham is a great storyteller with a wonderful sense of humor. If you are looking for a great beach read this is the book for you.

it was fun to read something with a darker side
Living in this little bit of paradise, it was fun to read something with a darker side. I really was surprised at the ending - did not see that coming!

Creepy! I gave it to my son and he was surprised that I had read the trash. A book club choice!
