Denso Radiator - 221-9234 (Fits 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler Vehicles)

Radiator fit and worked well in a 99TJ. I was trying to fix a 10 degree temperature climb at freeway speeds but the body lift is preventing good crossflow at speed (FL, inland summer issue). This radiator was way more stout than "aftermarket" brands, would highly recommend as an OE replacement.

Radiator bolted right in with no problems. Just be sure to pre drill the holes for the shroud as the factory holes are a little too small. Easy. Daily driven my Jeep for 2 months now. No leaks or issues. Jeep runs nice and cool.

The fittings for the transmission lines are made of aluminum and are cheap junk. One of the bungs they screw in to was threaded incorrectly and stripped the bungs so that there is a fluid leak. The other fitting screwed in just fine, but I wouldn't trust the cheap aluminum long term. I will be asking for a refund. Too bad they can't refund me the labor I spent installing it.

When the OEM radiator finally gave out on my 2004 TJ after 14 years, I replaced it with a 3 row all aluminum unit. It worked great for about 3 years before it failed. I replaced it with another one of the same type, thinking I just had some bad luck. That one only lasted a year. No more aluminum for me. The Mopar branded radiators don't seem to be available anymore, so I went with this oem style from Denso that was suggested by other TJ owners. The radiator is well made and comes with multiple different size connectors for the transmission cooler lines as well as new screws which was a nice touch. The screw holes all lined up perfectly and there were no leaks. The only problem I had, and reason for taking off one star, is the holes for mounting the fan shroud were either not threaded or the threads were painted and I couldn't get the screws installed easily. Neither the new included screwed or the old screws would go in. I didn't realize this until after the radiator was installed. I was able to get the upper two screws started with a lot of force, but the lower ones were a no-go because I couldn't get enough leverage. I had to break out the tap set and tap the lower holes. After that it was no problem. So make sure your screws will thread in before installing the radiator in case you need to tap the holes.

This radiator works well fit into place no clutch fan removal witch was nice since I thought I had to but yeah good product

Not quite to the same quality as OEM, but dropped right in and included the adapters for my automatic transmission. Just took it on an all day trip across Colorado, up and down passes at 65mph and the engine temp never went over 200 degrees!

Took minutes to install, Zero hassles, Denso quality is top notch
