Young Fitz is the bastard son of the noble Prince Chivalry, raised in the shadow of the royal court by his fatherโs gruff stableman. He is treated as an outcast by all the royalty except the devious King Shrewd, who has him secretly tutored in the arts of the assassin. For in Fitzโs blood runs the magic Skillโand the darker knowledge of a child raised with the stable hounds and rejected by his family. As barbarous raiders ravage the coasts, Fitz is growing to manhood. Soon he will face his first dangerous, soul-shattering mission. And though some regard him as a threat to the throne, he may just be the key to the survival of the kingdom. Review: Read them in order - This is one of the best book series I have read. I would put it up there with Lord of the Rings, Highlander series. BUT, I read the last Trilogy first. The books were still amazing, but I have since gone back and got the first Trilogy, I think it was Kings Apprentice or something like that, then read the second Trilogy which all start with the Fool, but are a continuation of the same story, then on to the Farseer Trilogy. She is an amazing writer and I literally cannot put these books down. I am on the 9th one now and intend to go back and pick up the "related" Trilogy about the Dragons and the Trilogy about the Live ships. It's another world and it will capture your imagination and engage you fully in this great adventure. Unlike other trilogy's that leave you hanging and hoping there is another book (Game of Thrones) Highlander, etc. This series of trilogy spans an entire lifetime of quests and adventures and truly ends, very satisfyingly, but still leaves room for another Trilogy if the author so decides to continue the family saga. GREAT BOOKS!! Review: Perfect - Best series ever. I don't buy books but I had to get these to annotate

Haunting Series
I love these books. I read them a long time ago when I was a teenager, and so I started re-reading them as an adult, and.... wow. There's so much I missed. Definitely recommend this whole series, starting from this trilogy (the first) and continuing through the other following trilogies.

The Farseer Trilogy and Robin Hodd get 5 stars
The print is too small, the way the book is made is the reasonfor four stars. The author and the written word can't be beat. Love Robin John's Farseer Trilogy. I actually have the Kindle edition, 5 stars for that. I bought the paperback versions for a friend in the hospital.

You Must read books - the will open your heart and mine!
At first you may not like the book - give it a few pages! Loved these books and more of the series! The author makes you care about the characters. You cheer them - you grieve with them. The author is remarkable!

This writer is phenomenal! Warning...The books themselves are very small with very small writing.
If you struggle with eye fatigue, don't buy these books here. Get them where they have a reasonable reading font.

I have reread these so many times
Robin Hobb is an excellent writer who does an excellent job connecting the reader emotionally to her imperfect characters. She builds an interesting world without droning on about unimportant details. These books are highly re-readable.

Donโt buy
The amount of misspelling in the first few pages alone is extensive.
