Baxter of California Scented Candle

Takes a while to get the scent going, very expensive especially when the other candles (specifically the wood line) have very pungent smells nearly immediately after lighting.

Straight up, the smoke ash candle smells like a hamster cage. Seriously disappointed in the product, and in myself for spending 60 bones on this thing. I thought it'd be a sure thing since their White Wood 1 is amazing, but this candle is a huge let down. Decided on giving 2 stars instead of 1 because at the very least it functions as a candle if your power goes out and you need some light.

Smells great but price is a too high

It's the best smelling candle I've ever had. It's expensive but you have to try it. You won't be sorry.

Love this candle

All of the Ash scents from Baxter are delightful if you like the campfire aesthetic in candles. If you like the smell of cade oil or freshly burned matches, you'll like the candles very much. The problem is that the scents are *very* light/weak when the candles are burned. I love the smell when I put my nose to the candle. But it doesn't actually spread from the candle and fill the room when it's burning. I've been burning it in a room with the door and windows open because the weather is nice. Perhaps if you burned it in a small, closed space, it would give a better performance. But I have to say I wouldn't buy it again just because it's so expensive and doesn't perform as well as a typical scented candle.

Smells absolutely great. It's like a musty woody almost light cologne like fragrance. Burns nicely and fills my bedroom with an incredible smell. I'd almost compare it to Le Labo Santal. But you get twice the candle for 2/3 of the price. Extremely masculine which I love because candles have a girly reputation so it's great to see these masculine scents being released. I have never been disappointed by a Baxter product !! A+ candle.
