Sorry I don't know exactly how thick, but it isn't flimsy by any means and it's durable enough to lie nicely on your table. It's excellent quality and still looks good after over 22 months of constant use.

Hi, I love mine.The top is pvc, underneath is less shiny.i have had no problems with mine slipping so far, but I have a wooden table. I'm not sure how it would perform on a plastic/shiny top table.
