Best gift for my husband

Would give this zero stars if possible. I had such high hopes for this product I was willing to forgive all the minor flaws that were present from day 1, lack of smartwatch functionality, poor quality display, poor back lighting etc. 4 months in and watch will no longer pair with the app, which means it not only will not collect fitness data, it won't even tell the time. Very heavy ugly expensive bracelet.

The picture that use are showing is incorrect the LED picture is a lot darker this was one of the reasons I bought the watch as I am registered blind.

A watch powered by the wearer being alive, brilliant. Though I wouldn't say it's a 'smart' watch, more like a hybrid smartwatch. Just enough of a notification, to let you know something has happened. A pity that there isn't a wider choice of screens, but the ones there are, do the job.

A nice idea but utterly unreliable. You will waste hours of your life trying to get it to pair with useless app, then if you manage to actually get it to pair at some point the watch will just stop working and the LCD will go blank at which point you'll have to stick it on the supplied hot plate, then start the whole pairing nightmare again! Oh and the magnet on the metal strap is glued with a tiny, tiny dab of glue which means it'll fall out meaning the strap like the watch will be useless. Don't waste your money go buy a proper watch.

The PowerWatchX is fantastic. I cannot believe that the watch requires no battery power at all, especially given all of the features that it has. It tracks calories, it tracks sleeps, and there appear to be notifications that it can also provide (though it would be helpful to understand more how these sync up with a mobile device). This watch has a larger face, but doesn't feel that way when wearing it. The silicone strap is SUPER comfortable to wear and it really does seem unbreakable. It also has some give to it which makes it more comfortable to wear. Moreover, this model comes with a thermal charging pad in the event that it runs out of power (because you haven't worn it for a while and haven't been providing it body heat!). One area of improvement would be the app and the syncing between watch and mobile device. It's not clear to me whether this happens automatically, and if not, there should be some way of doing this similar to other smart watches out there. All in all, though, a solid product and great buy.

I'd like to make this an honest and fair review. First off, the watch looks great! Nice and large and just looks like it can really take a beating and keep working. The silicon strap is the most comfortable watch strap I have ever tried, just loved it. The watch itself however, does not work as advertised. There is no way to tell how much power the "powerwatch" has. It has no meter so you cannot ever tell if it is about to turn off on you. This would not be a problem if the "real time" power meter" (which tells you how much power your body heat was generating) actually worked. It does not work consistently and intermittently just turns off completely leaving you to guess and hope that it is powering. The company know this and has no solution for fixing it. Furthermore, the reading that is supposed to show the temperature differential between your body and the watch (how it makes power) also does not work. It randomly goes to double readings of 32 degrees leaving you again guessing if it is working. Again, the company knows this and has no solution. Also, the notifications stop working after a short period of time after setting up. For me, the watch notifications actually worked for between 1 and 9 hours. After that, you remain disconnected and cannot sync any data or receive notifications. There is no good way to re-pair the function. To get it to work again one must. 1. Factory reset the watch. 2. Forget the item in your bluetooth settings. 3. Uninstall the app. 4. reinstall the app. 5. go through full setup process. This all will take between 15 and 45 minutes depending on your skill level. Not something you can quickly do when it becomes disconnected. Again, the company knows this and does not fix it. You can start a ticket with them to address the issues and you may get some semi-helpful information from someone who may or may not actually read your problem, but certain cannot fix it. In my case, they just stopped replying to my inquiries in the email string. Just went to ignoring me. Basically, this is a scam. They know the product doesn't work as advertised and do not care. They want to sell all of the old stock to recoup their investment. DO NOT BUY. I have contacted Amazon directly as well and recommended that they stop doing business with this company as well. Amazon has a very good reputation and I do not believe they would knowingly want to sell something that does not work as advertised.

I am so excited to have this watch. The design and build quality is superior to any other fitness device I have seen or used. It is so sturdy and has far superior water resistance. I have owned several other fitness trackers over the years and definitely prefer my PowerWatch X. Plus, I love the body heat power technology. It is so cool, with the HUGE benefit of no more 'bad days" when my Fitbit died. Instead, this watch actually tells me how much power I am generating. The only downside I see is that the app has fewer features and doesn't integrate with other devices, but this is just software and will improve. Matrix got the PowerWatch X device right!
