Does what it says. Easy install, great performance.
I upgraded my I3 Mega using this kit. The kit did not include installation instructions, but Anycubic's website has a detailed video to walk you through the process. It's literally as simple as swap the extruder, attach the new filament holder, and flash the upgraded firmware and youre done. I did this, as well as replace the stock hotend cooling fan with a Noctua fan, as the stock fan was extremely noisy, especially when it first spins up. My print quality is as good as ever, and I can keep my active filament spool right with the printer without worrying about it getting knocked about.Great job, Anycubic!!Next on my list is a hardened steel nozzle, so I can print carbon fiber filaments.

Super Easy Install! Great Results!
Super straightforward install. Great new extruder motor that lets you do flexible filaments and strange ones such as wood! I highly recommend this cheap upgrade to any MEGA owner!

Very great upgrade for the price.
I bought this for my i3 MEGA, not a bad deal for what you get. It is a very good quality Titan Extruder Clone, and a compact but not pancake NEMA 17 stepper. Not sure of the exact specs, but as of now, I have no complaints. I have yet to try FLEXIBLE's with this new setup and not sure if I am going to but if I do I can always edit my review. For now, Wood PLA, PLA and PETG have no issues at all.Once again, great product ANYCUBIC!Thanks!

Good upgrade for the i3 Mega
It definitely helps the filament path by having a roll holder on the side. The geared extruder works just fine once I set it to 400 steps per mm rather than the 384 the new firmware had it set to (I calibrated the extruder for 100mm and 384 only moves 95.6 or so mm of filament). There were no instructions, so you had to dig a bit to figure out the orientation for the filament sensor.

Looking to downgrade your extruder? Look no further!
Do you love jiggling your filament around in hopes it'll slip in that magic hole, excited by each minute you spend getting closer to that glorious release, well then you'll love this upgrade. But if you just want to stick a piece of filament in a hole and have it easily feed in to the tubing, then there might be some frustration associated with his extruder.I can't speak to how much better it is with TPU, or other impotent filaments, but for PLA and ABS, it's definitely not an upgrade.

Nice upgrade for i3
Upgrade my i3 mega and it’s been printing better ever since the upgrade. Easy to install and takes just a few minutes. Could be priced a little cheaper though.

Yes, this does print Ninjaflex.
I was thinking of rebuilding the extruder on my Mega or going all the way and converting it to direct after the retraction clank from the MK8 extruder got me thinking a bit too long about solutions, then I found out about the Mega-S and eventually wandered on over to this. Four screws, a little bit of fiddling with the bowden tube, a firmware update, and a click of your heels, and it's done. That's as crazily straightforward as the original kit, with its eight screws, three cables, and piece of paper.Anyway, back to the title. Having a Titan clone, with its easy tension adjustment and constrained filament path made me a little more brave than usual, so I went on a flexible printing spree that ended with a small handful of Ninjaflex experiprints and a lot of really nice successes in Sainsmart 95A.I would like to caution anyone who gets ideas from this review that the Mega's Ultrabase print surface is amazing for Ninjaflex adhesion. As in, part removal has a good chance of destroying the part you're removing. I have a stack of disembodied owl bottoms from successful prints and botched removals, because it just wouldn't come off and I had to perform an emergency bottomectomy. The Sainsmart stuff didn't adhere nearly that strongly to the bed and came off just fine, but I'd suggest grabbing an extra build plate to cover in kapton or masking tape if you're going to print Ninjaflex or other really soft TPUs.

Good update, a little pricey.
Really nice to be able to print flexible filament. The spool holder is a bonus! A little higher priced than I'd like to see but all in all really glad I got it.
