BEST dog crate ever - so light, collapsible, durable, and cute!! This is go-to everything crate now!
Okay, so I NEVER write reviews but I'm kinda obsessed with this collapsible crate so I had to. We have two beautiful pups (one is 30 lbs & the other is 50 lbs), but we travel a lot so we often ask friends to watch them or we bring them with us if we're traveling in-state. We've tried other soft crates and they haven't ever worked - they're either too complicated or, worst of all, just break super quickly. We've been using a metal crate for years but it's SO heavy and a total pain to break down for travel (not to mention it looks like an ugly prison). I originally bought this thinking we'd just use it for when we travel, but it's become our all-the-time, permanent crate. It shipped super quickly and I took it out of the box and popped it up in about 2 minutes. There are instructions in it, but I didn't even need them since it's pretty simple and intuitive. My pups LOVE it - they both went in it immediately after I set it up (they're sharing the XL crate and they can stand or lay in it easily with plenty of room). One of my favorite things about this pop up crate is it INCLUDES the crate pad! It's so nice that you don't have to buy an additional pad for it or carry a pad for it separately - it just folds right up in it. It's also great to have the option of mesh or covered flaps on 3 of the 4 sides depending on if it's hot or cold or if the pups want to look out. The fact that it includes a cover bag makes it so much easier to throw it over the shoulder with the strap and have my hands free to carry all their other stuff. One of my dogs has a history of destroying things and this hasn't even show signs of wear or tear yet - hoooooray! Added bonus: it's super cute and I love the neutral colors! It's been absolutely worth the money for our lil family! We're donating our metal one to a shelter!

High quality & my Chihuahua LOVES it!!!
With a lot of crates to choose from, we chose this one because the company, DogGoods, donates to animal shelters to help other fur babies. We hoped the quality would be better than the others for the price. It is! Weโve been through several dog beds and this one seems just awesome for camping, travel and home. We unpacked it & snapped the parts into place- itโs a very solid frame & the fabric is modern and high quality. The neutral grey fits any decor. We bought this for our 13-year old Chihuahua Terrier. He is 15 lbs and has plenty of room to stretch out with toys! He loves the soft bottom included, and we love that everything is washable. We sometimes dog sit bigger dogs & this gives our little guy a safe haven. We love it so much, I think weโll get another one for our bigger doggy. 5-stars for well made! And we love the treat/toy pockets on top! It has both a mesh door that zips and a canvas door - that roll up together or separately. Itโs a great feature for traveling/sleeping comfort, and circulates plenty of air w breathable fabric. Update: The crate opens at the top & side, so itโs like a skylight if you want it to be more open for your doggo. How cool!

This is a nice crate
This works great and has flaps that will come down to provide additional insulation in the winter. Also looks great in our room. Easy to assemble. Not sure how long the zipper will last, but so far so good.

Highest quality dog product I've ever gotten
Well- let's just say that I am blown away by the quality of the soft crate by DogGoods. I've ordered my fair share of dog items off of amazon and have gotten used to lower quality pieces coming my way. First off, the bag it comes in is amazing and so easy to carry around, plus I can already tell it will never break (the fabric used for the bag and crate is incredibly sturdy, water resistant and came wrinkle-less). Second- there is a steel bar locking mechanism that holds the crate together and it's unlike anything I've seen for a crate before. I can finally say goodbye to the 3 flimsy crates I have in my closet that pinch my fingers when I close the door and collapse all of the time. Zoey (my pup) is all about comfort and the soft fleece carpeting that comes inside of the crate is also the highest quality fabric I've ever come across for a dog related item! If you can't tell already, I HIGHLY recommend this item. I doubt I will ever need to order a crate again and plan on using this indoors, outdoors and for travel with the pup. I am SO excited to finally come across a brand like this!

I recommend it !
Iโve had this for two days and already used it/am loving it. Itโs very big/bulky but it fits in the backseat of my Camry in a couple different directions. My two 13 lb mini schnauzers fit inside comfortably. The little cushion that came with it is trash- a thin piece of styrofoam inside a thin cover that sheds. I threw it out and put a comfy dog bed inside. The bottom is a water resistant material that seems like it could tear, but weโll see. The bars that the frame is made of seem very sturdy, but Iโm still not sure the price tag is worth it. It would be nice if it had a hook, or loops that allowed it to be anchored to the seat. Nonetheless, Iโm going to keep it because I like the way it folds down, the carrying case, and how easy it is to clean. I anticipate using it for car rides as well as stays away from home since it can double as a sleeping crate.

Saves My Car Interior from my German Shepherd!
I have a white German Shepherd Dog who loves to ride in the car, and before January, I had a Jeep Wrangler, so she could mess up the interior of that to her little heart's content, and I could just take off a few roof panels and let the dog fur blow out of the Jeep on its own. Well, in January, I bought a really bougie new Explorer, and Sylvie the German Shepherd got relegated to the cargo area. It isn't bad back there for her. She isn't a HUGE German Shepherd, but is a largish medium-sized one, if that makes any sense. But back there, she's a whole passenger car row away from me, and that doesn't sit to well with her, so she was constantly trying to climb over the backs of the middle row seats to be closer to me when we're ridin' along in our automobile. I feared for the life of the leather seats- her toenails don't *mean* to do any harm, but I didn't want rips to happen... so I got one of those WeatherTech barriers you can put up and take down as needed. I'm not smart enough or patient enough to run that thing, and also, I discovered that even if I could use it to contain Sylvie to the back of the Explorer, the header panel wasn't safe from her fur... On one ride from the groomer, I noticed that she sat there in the cargo area, goofy grin on her face, and she was sliding her head back and forth across the headliner, which was extremely reachable for her, with the way the car-roof swoops gracefully down back there. OMG! It was hilarious to see, and I just love that dog to pieces, but I definitely played Hell trying to get those soft, soft, grippy filaments of dog-fur out of that header-panel. I went through a LOT of lint rollers, and one of those Furminator things that's the size of a credit card, and conventional lint brushes. I eventually got the dog-fur out of the header panel back there, but just in time for the next ride. Not to worry! I thought. I'd just get some of that film stuff that they roll down on the car carpets to ship a car when it's new. It's readily available here on Amazon! I thought it'd work AMAZING! And it's really rad for the carpet-backed bits of the cargo area (which I covered up with a WeatherTech mat anyway). That film doesn't cling to the header panel like it does to the carpet. It probably wasn't made for that, anyway, so I can't hold its failure against the product. But I still wanted a way to prevent the dog-fur from getting embedded in the first place. Then I found this collapsible kennel. I'd had a zipper-kennel way back when Sylvie was a puppy, and she destroyed the kennel and its zipper in less than a minute. But she's older now and seems to have chilled out, some, under the right conditions. I measured and measured what Amazon said are the dimensions of this kennel, and I measured and measured the dimensions of the cargo area in the 2025 Explorer, especially the way the hatch opening is the smallest part of the cargo area. This looked like a good fit. And it is. It works like a dream. I put it in the cargo area flat then pop it up. It's really easy to swing and lock the supports into place. I put it in so the wide door is toward the cargo hatch. There's just enough room to shove it back against the seatbacks in the middle row. There's not enough room to put it in the long way, so the narrow kennel door is toward the hatch, unless I collapse the middle row of seats - it's doable, if you want to, but I like her having the width of the cargo area. There's a soft floorliner that goes into the kennel. Sylvie hopped right up in it, I zipped the mesh panel closed, and kept the solid fabric panels rolled up so she had mesh on 3 sides to breathe and see out, and our trips have been successful. I don't even have to vacuum out dog hair from the car, and she's not getting all up in the headliner. She seems really content, riding in the kennel, is a lot more relaxed than she was when I was letting her have run of the entire cargo area, and she happily hops into and out of it at the beginning and end of rides. It's saved me a lot of stress and having to temper my wishes to have Sylvie along in the car with me, with the wishes to also not be fighting with dog hair in my bougie vehicle. If you're struggling with the same choices I was, and have a big furricane like I do, give this kennel a try in the cargo area!

Used twice and not sturdy
Crate is not secure. My dog escaped it twice in less than 5 minutes. Not worth price and I am stuck with it. :(. Merchant unwilling to take it back. Worse purchase ever.

Awesome design!
Love how easy this is to set up and take down without struggling or pinching my fingers. Great design also with thought to curved windows in the back of a mini van (Honda odyssey). And at our agility shows, the built in crate covers are a fabulous final touch. How many times have i forgotten their crate covers! Overall, super pleased with this great design. My concerns are: 1) having a little trouble with the zipper, at the corner, sticking. And some stiching that was sewn off track; doesn't appear it will hold up around the zipper area. Haven't had time to contact seller but I will and will update post. 10/11/2021 - used almost every fri-sun since purchased. In and out of crate multiple times for two dogs throughout the day, No issues at all. Zipper no longer sticking. Terrific crate.
