Thermo Pot Hot Water Dispenser Electric Instant Water Boiler BCTP-5-L (5 L, Stainless Steel, 680W, 230V, LCD Display, Self-cleaning Function)

This machine is excellent. One suggestion; boil your first tank of water, dispense it, and tip it away, as it will taste chalky/metallic due to factory cleaning processes.I wanted to address a couple of the reviews I've read here.Firstly "Condition of drum disappointing":That's water residue. I distill my water, and after 12 months use, passing at least 5 litres of water through the Bredeco per day (some days more), my drum is still pristine. If you use tap water you're always going to get residue. Toilet paper particles, tampon particles, residue from medicines, and, of course, good old limescale.Secondly "Okay quality Thermo hot water boiler but the description is misleading and it drops temperature":If you want 100°C just use a kettle. A machine that keeps water hot isn't going to maintain it at 100°C. That's boiling point! Meaning the water would evaporate!

Water boiling. One problem on all previous boilers, the pump is poor. Always the first thing to fail.

Apart from hot drinks this unit has been useful for soups, stews or other reasons for needing hot water - even for washing up as our combi boiler only has a small water capacity. We have fitted a timer (because we had one) that we use to switch off the heater around the time we go to bed and get it to switch on before we get up. The supplier has been very helpful. I would, and do, recommend it to others.

Above item had to be returned as not up to proper standards not holding the right temperature and the dispensing units were inadequate

Easy to use. Love having constant hot water for our coffee and tea. Energy efficient too. I highly recommend this item.

Bought this to replace earlier smaller product. Checked with a friend to purchase one they had and actually bought this one in error!! However it is excellent. Larger than the friend's is but that is OK for me. Boils quickly and quietly and maintains temperature. Large enough to use to fill saucepans which was one feature I required. All round very pleased with it.

My old Thermo hot water boiler (a different manufacturer) lasted just over 4yrs. This Thermo hot water boiler has the added benefit of cleaning itself automatically. Another benefit this one had over my previous model is the much larger dispensing button, which is easier to press. The funnel is also shaped much better than my older model too.The only negative point I would make is the description states it has “ six adjustable temperature settings of 40, 50, 60, 85, 98, 100 °C” I can state for a fact it only has 5 settings with a maximum of 98 °C. I was hoping, as the description states for a 100 °C but sadly that ISN'T the case. Even when the Thermo kettle is programmed to 98 °C it consistently drops to 96 °C , which for me isn’t hot enough and is very disappointing. Hence the description is misleading and inappropriate.

I have not used this one yet, my last one from you lasted over four years till the power switch was faulty as far as I can tell , over all very handy uses less electricity , we have been very pleased with them.
