Clever product, great service
My first foray into hammock camping brought me to this Easthills Outdoor Jungle Explorer Double Camping Hammock. I went with this mid-priced hammock hoping for the best and I was not disappointed. Set up was quick and easy. The daisy chain suspension system is sturdy and easy to loop around a tree. The straps minimize impact on tree bark as well. Included aluminum carabiners are light in weight and just large enough to be effective. The netting hangs from two included elastic lines. The breathable taffeta fabric is sturdy, soft and pliable, contouring to create a slightly bowed sleep deck. I found it extremely comfortable. The stability of the hammock was remarkable, no matter the occupant’s laying, or sitting, position. The waterproof rain tarp features several loops providing the option for various arrangements. My first night out brought a thunderstorm and subsequent downpour. Happily, the tarp was large enough to sufficiently cover the hammock and keep my pack underneath. The carabiner connection made for a suitable drip line. The entire hammock and gear stayed dry throughout. The interior features two water-repellent hanging pockets for small gear (cellphone, snack bars) and the hanging loops, located in the four corners at the top of the netting, were essential. I ran a length of light line between them to create an unobtrusive, all-around hanger for reading glasses, penlight, and anything lightweight that I’d need access to from within. It’s self-containing stuff sack doubles as an external hanging pocket, great for a paperback, notebook or water bottle. The construction seems sturdy. The seams are triple-stitched. Zippers connecting the netting to the taffeta base were easy to find and operated snag-free. The tight netting keeps the interior bug-free but is airy enough to allow great visibility. It positions itself well-above the hammock creating a roomy interior. No claustrophobia. The business card included with the new the hammock reads “We take customer satisfaction Very Seriously”. When I did have a problem, I took that claim to task, again, hoping for the best. I was pleasantly surprised to find the Easthills team was quick to respond and eager to please. Quite professional. I’d recommend this product. Happy hanging!

Good for a beginner
I love this hammock set, it has everything you need and is good quality. I camped in comfort (with an inflatable insulated hammock pad, a few blankets, and a pillow) in the mountains of NW Montana for several days. It was WAY better than sleeping in a tent (even with a cot, a pad, and ample bedding). I'm overweight and experienced none of the pressure on my hips and shoulders like I did on a cot. My only complaint is the rain fly. You might consider purchasing a different one if you'll be anywhere you might get wet. Early one morning, there was a small storm that came through. It wasn't that bad, but the wind gusts ripped a hole in my rain fly before the stake came out of the ground entirely. I wouldn't count on the included stakes, either. There are no instructions, but its pretty simple and you don't really need them. Aside from this, its a great set up and I highly recommend it!

Good product but have not used in field yet
I have set this hammock up in my basement to test out. The rainfly has not been used due to it being winter and we are inside the house but is of a good thickness and feel. It has loops at the corners and midway points for hanging. The hammock is comfortable (double hammock with a single person makes it more roomy) and easy to setup. The bug net suspends easy and is easy to unzip on both sides of the hammock. The cord that suspends the bug net is a bundgy cord material which helps ensure the netting flexes when the hammock moves. However, because it flexes it does not allow you to hang much weight from the clips inside that suspend from that same support. Based on buying another hammock a slightly less price, this product is worth the extra amount. I will need to wait until summer to get it out in the field and actually use it there.

This is an amazing product especially for the price! Great gift for someone starting hammocking.
When i purchased this product I was honestly very skeptical about the idea of a whole hammock set for $80 when that's the price of some hammocks themselves. Boy was I very happily surprised! The quality of this gear is awesome especially for all of it you get for $80. IN this kit your getting the hammock, the suspension, and a tarp all for the price of an ENO hammock. You could basically order this and go camping and have your whole sleep kit taken care of in one little bag. The hammock itself has a built in but also removable but net that keeps out all the critters. The quality of the hammock is amazing I have even been told by a few people that it feels softer and nicer than my ENO. The suspension that comes with it is also just as good as the ENO ten footers and have the same 3 stitch daisy chain design. The tarp that comes with it comes with all the guy lines and stakes you need and is all housed in its own convenient bag. The tarp is of a light weight design but it still feels like its very durable and with keep you dry for adventures to come! So I think that this hammock is an amazing deal and of fantastic quality that cant be beat for the money! I think this setup would be perfect for someone who wants to start hammocking but not spend a lot at first. This would also be a great option to get a child and spark a new love for the outdoors.

EASY SET UP, WORKS GREAT!
I did a trial run by setting this up between 2 trees before I went camping to make sure I knew what I was doing. I camped overnight in Tennessee in October and a very cool night. This is very easy to set up and functions very well. Seems to be very strong. I am 5’10” about 200 pounds. The only thing was I didn’t stretch it quite tight enough and I didn’t have proper bedding in it and everything kept sliding down towards my midsection so my back and legs were getting cold at night. The next day, a friend advised me that they make a wool blanket made for hammocks so they stay in place on cool nights. If you wanna sleep in a hammock with a rain fly and a bug screen, this is a great hammock to get but just be aware to get the proper bedding if it’s cool outside so you stay warm. One other thing, it didn’t rain when I slept in it but the rain fly seems like it may be just about 6 or 8 inches too short for staying dry in a rain. Like I said, I didn’t test it in the rain, so read other reviews and ask questions as well.

This is a really great, inexpensive option for a hammock tent with lots of features.
I bought this to pack on my motorcycle and go camping. With the rain fly it is a little bulky, but it fits in my saddlebags just fine. This tent is good quality and comes with almost everything you need (I did need to rig some extra line to hold the netting up.) I like that the netting can be completely zipped off and that the hammock packs into its own bag. The rain fly is best situated diagonally over it to cover both ends. Caveat: This tent does not come with detailed directions and I recommend watching some YouTube videos and setting it up at your local park before heading out for a long camping trip. There are some tips and tricks out there to make setting it up and taking it down easier. I used a 3/4 camp pad and a sleeping bag to line the bottom of the hammock for sleeping (and because some people said mosquitoes got them through the nylon.) If you don't like the sides of the hammock pressing on you, you might need to rig some kind of spreader. I was able to sleep on my back and on my side. Personally, I would not try to sleep two people in this. If you contact Easthills customer service directly, they are very responsive, even if you bought it through Amazon.

First time using these for a camping trip.
I'm 6'4" and 270 #'s and I never once felt unsafe sleeping in these for 4 consecutive nights. Once they are set up and attached to your tree's, they are very solid ! Very comfortable. Be sure to watch some vids on how to use the tree straps so you dont fall ! My first set up of hammock, rain fly took about an hour, but I would bet the next time would take me 15 minutes tops now that I know what I need to do. The very brief directions I feel are off with stating a 8-12 foot distance for your tree spread unless you are a small person. If you are hanging from a monstrous tree with a large diameter maybe 12' would work, but if you hang on say a 6-8 inch diameter tree the first loop to connect your hammock to is almost on the ground I feel like a minimum of 15 feet would be a better starting point because the tree straps are so long(good thing). The company does have excellent customer service. Amazon shorted me my rain fly and stakes 3 days before I was leaving, but the company stepped up and got them to me in time before I left. Cant thank them enough ! They will take care of any issues. Small things I really liked. The quick clip into tree strap, Rainfly is nice, big and super light, and then the ridge lines that hold up your bug net are FLEXIBLE ! which is great so you dont tear things. as you sink down into your hammock, the flexible ridge lines stretch and keep your bug net at a the height you need instead of being pulled down by your weight in the hammock which may put stress on the zipper. The only con to this is that hanging things on the inside of the bug net (lantern/fan) will drop down the top of the bug net quite a bit vs a non flexible ridgeline. Overall, I cant wait to try this again and I hope each time is just as trouble free as the first :) I was super skeptical, but after doing it one time changed my mindset.

Great hammock, but needs more guy lines
Not like, "are your legs tired? Because baby you've been running around my head all day!". Guy lines, like strings you use to pull the rain fly taut. I'll get back to this. The hammock itself is fine. I'm a novice hammocker. I bought this because a fellow scout leader was raving about his family's hammocks and how they never use tents anymore, yadda yadda yadda. So I thought I'd try it. The hammock has a bug screen which zips completely closed. I had no issues with bugs at all. I'm 230 lb, and I felt like the hammock supported me with no problem. My mistake was trying to use an old foam sleeping pad inside. This just kept trying to roll up, or slip out from under my sleeping bag. Next time I'll try just a wool blanket underneath. It wasn't too hard to strap the ends to the two trees, once I figured out the physics. My only complaint is the rain fly. Before I go on, I will say that it kept the hammock and everything in it completely dry, and we had a couple torrential rainstorms that week. That's not the complaint obviously. However, it did not come with any instructions on how to mount it. I took a look at someone else's hammock and tried to duplicate it. The middle is somehow supposed to attach to the tree, or maybe the hammock itself, not sure. On either side of the rain fly, there are three places to attach guy lines. One in each corner, and one the middle, so six total. But, it only came with four guy lines and stakes. Luckily, I make it a habit to pack plenty of paracord, and I think I found a couple extra stakes somewhere, so I was able to MacGyver the other two guy lines through my awesome taut line hitch skills. It's entirely possible that I was not putting the rain fly on correctly. But dang it, I was dry. Maybe I'll ask for help next time. :) Not sure how you're supposed to fit two people in there, unless you *really* like the other person! Maybe for a couple of newlyweds?

Cheap Cheap
This hammock is not worth my money that I have spent in it. The zipper rip off the hammock on the first night sleeping in it. I'll never buy this product from this company again.

Amazing Customer Service!
Awesome quality, Even better customer service! Highly recommend. I ordered two hammocks and Amazon shipped them without the rain tarps. I loved the hammocks too much to return so I contacted Easthills Outdoors directly and explained the situation. They were amazing to deal with - all by email - and in a matter of days they shipped out 2 additional complete hammock sets to me for free to make up for the warehouse mistake. As for the hammocks, they are great! Stitching is high quality, no rips no tears, easy to set up, and super comfy!

Early Review w/update
I did quite a bit research on hammocks before buying one. Either you love them or hate them, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money to find out I hated it. I also didn't want to buy something so cheap that I would hate it without giving it a fair try. Hours of reviews and videos later, I landed on this product. I'm extremely happy with the quality. This hammock is worth many times what I paid for it. Update Sep 22/2020: I slept two nights in the woods, the first night was cold (3C / 37F). I used a sleeping pad in it and was very comfortable. The next night was warm and humid (16C / 60F) and rained heavily. The netting blocks wind effectively, which was great in the cold, so I left it open and was comfortable. The tarp kept me dry. I was able to pack up all my gear, and then the tarp last, keeping all my gear dry. Hanging this properly is key to a good sleep. I highly recommend the book "The Ultimate Hang" by Derek Hansen. I still believe this hammock is great value. I'm never going back to a tent!

Did not receive rain tarp and pegs with my delivery…

Double Hammock
This hammock is exactly what I’ve been searching for! Being a double hammock it’s heavier than single hammocks but it makes up for in comfort and quality materials. The hammock needs to be aired out outside before use as the packaging creates a fishy smell but disappears once it’s been used. The rain fly is fairly easy to attach and is large enough to protect from the weather during moderate rainfall If you’re looking for a 2-person hammock or a bigger hammock for lounging/camping this is definitely the one!
