Great replacement trailer jack
I had a Dutton Lainson tongue jack installed on my Roadrunner boat trailer when I purchased the boat. I broke the hand crank while working on the trailer. Totally my fault and not a defect with the jack. I got the manufacturers' name off the jack and order a replacement on line. It arrived on time and was almost what I had hoped for. My jack was welded on the boat frame and the jacking part was attached with a large slip ring. My plan was to detach the broken jack and installing the new jack by removing the slip ring. This new jack was attached to a bolted bracket to install onto the trailer frame. I installed the jack next to the old jack welded plate and it works perfectly.

This is my second Dutton-Lainson tongue jack
This is my second Dutton-Lainson tongue jack... first one is on my 16' fishing boat trailer, been using it for 3 years with no issues. The second one I just purchased I just installed on a 10' enclosed utility trailer (Wells Cargo), so I can wheel it around in tight spaces. Installs very easily with 4 bolts and nuts. Swivels down easily, cranks up and down like it should. Great item. Only small complaint is that there's a lack of installation instructions. First time I had to go to YouTube. For my second one, I just took a photo of the jack on my boat trailer and used that as a reference for installing.

High Quality Pivoting Tongue Jack
Heavy duty pivoting tongue jack fits my Lund boat trailer perfectly. Easy to install and operate. The pivoting mechanism is simple and effective with some versatility in the installation so read the directions first. I mistakenly left my old one down and towed the trailer a few yards before I realized it was still down. This was a replacement and it fit perfectly. I contacted Dutton-Lainson and their help line was great about making sure I ordered the right replacement jack and got the right parts.

Short-lived and has design flaws
Prone to rusting out with use in salt water. I took the first one (that came with my trailer) apart, and noted a giant gob of grease on the top gears, but if you remove the handle and internal parts you'll see the jackscrew has zero grease on the top 1/3, so a rust-induced fusion is inevitable unless you disassemble and thoroughly grease the entire jackscrew frequently. I immediately power-wash my entire boat including the tongue jack after each outing, and it only took one year for the first one to rust out completely.I also would like to mention that it may be necessary to drill out the pin that holds the handle in place in order to grease the assembly. The pin itself is longer than the clearance necessary to remove it. My suggestion when removing it would be to very gently tap it from above with a punch, but only remove it 1/8" or so...just enough to be able to turn the crank 180° and ease the pin out from above with a pair of pliers. Otherwise, have a properly sized drill bit handy and plan on needing a replacement pin. It's extremely touchy to get that handle pin out without having it hit the gear below and become stuck in place, making drilling it out the only option. Poor product design.

Heavy duty and great quality
It was time to replace my old jack. The handle broke and it was getting hard to operate after 15 years of regular use
