Green Toys Skipping Rope

I seriously can't say enough about the quality of these jump ropes! I purchased a green one for my 2 year old and a pink one for my 4 year old.- The handles are SO comfortable! The colors are vibrant.- The rope turns with ease.- The rope is cotton, not plastic, so no whipping your legs! Wow!- The rope length is sizeable to fit your child!- Gets your child moving.- AMERICAN MADE TOO from RECYCLED PLASTIC! Way to give Americans jobs and save the planet at the same time!Note: sizing the rope takes some muscle to get the top twisted off. It has a locking notch that you have to force past and then it untwists with ease. When you tie the new knot, don't trim the rope. Just let the excess rope fill in the hollow handles (so smart!!), recap it and twist it back on. Use some force until you feel it click over that notch again to lock back in place. It's not hard, just takes a little muscle to unlock and lock it again. Well made! Won't fall apart once locked!They have all the bases covered with this design. What a wonderful toy to own! I LOVE them! My children LOVE them! Will definitely buy another if these ever bite the dust. Being a child powered, not battery powered, toy I will certainly be getting them for gifts too.Green Toys is a great toy company! We own their teapot set, dishes, and two of their sand box bucket sets. I have never been disappointed with anything this company puts out. My kids love and use every toy they own from Green Toys, which really says it all.

It’s pretty good quality! Rope with green toy plastic candles. Good size for my almost 5 year old. She just started using it. She seems to enjoy it and it seems to be the perfect size for her& quality is good.

I LOVE that this is made in the USA- five stars for that! but then it loses a star for "fragility". We are thrilled with MANY other Green Toys...HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND the brand! BUT on the jump rope, the handle is the problem. It says that it is adjustable so I had to wonder but figured I could unscrew handle, cut rope and reassemble. Actually, the handle has a turn to lock mechanism which is not the best. With GENTLE use, it is okay and we may just glue the 3-piece handles shut- yes THREE pieces make up each handle...odd! The handles tend to break open if the jump rope is dropped on a hard floor after use...I common occurrence in the play of a pre-schooler! If you have a low threshold for toy repair, this rope may not be best. Otherwise, if it can be used gently or glued shut... it is a great rope! In it's original length, I can use it! I'm 5'8"...so that's pretty cool! It is a tad bit long for my son who is 41 inches- or the height of an average 3+ year old if you are considering for a gift. The rope weight is good although cotton so again, a bit fragile for a toy that many would expect to use outdoors. Probably best for indoor use or on a dry wood patio or deck. ...not sure how it would hold up if it got wet or used on sidewalks or blacktop. Perhaps inside the garage would be okay too. I will keep it for my son and glue repair the handles if it becomes an issue. I may even get one more for me so we can jump together..it's much nicer than one I bought for myself from a fitness store!

A review of the Green Toys  Green Toys Jump Rope, Green .The kids are just learning to jump rope. We tried a cheap dollar store rope and it was horrific, what a waste. We did find the kids were interested but the cheap rope was unusable. We have some of the Green Toys vehicles and liked them a lot so this made us seriously consider these.We were not disappointed these are great ropes. We got green and pink. The cotton braided rope is very heavy; about as thick as those old fat beginner pencils or maybe 3/8". It makes a very good thunk when it hits the floor so no need for beads in the house. It is really helping the kids learn the rhythm.Some have wondered about the opening of the handles. It is tricky but they did provide slots on the sides; I gripped these with a needle nose pliers (not pinching just inserting) and they twisted open. You can adjust the rope by redoing the knot but our lengths were okay. The handles are the expected smooth, durable Green Toys design and pivot well when used.Overall a great beginner rope.

This is a nice jump rope, good weight fabric. The handles are nice, they are designed to come apart to adjust the rope length, however as the child jumps I think they undo with the movement of the rope so they don’t stay locked. Once we had the length (furthest out for my 6 year old granddaughter) adjusted I was going to glue them closed, but one of her aunts just put knots in the rope at the base of each handle and they stay closed and the rope still fits the child’s height. Perfect fix.

simply amazing. I rarely write a review but just wanted to share how happy I am with this purchase. This is a traditional rope, which is heavier than the plastic one, so my kid plays with it much better than the plastic. My kid has a plastic rope but it gets kinks after a couple of jumps. This one is different, he has no kink issue at all. Plus it's very well made. I can feel the quality of the product. Simply worth the money.

La compramos de regalo de Navidad, para mi hijo de ocho años y le encantó, de hecho ignoró otros juguetes más sofisticados, jajaja. Desde que aprendió a saltar la cuerda no hace otra cosa.La cuerda está muy bien, justo de su tamaño, y las manijas cómodas.Llegó a tiempo.Saltar la cuerda, además de ser un ejercicio muy completo, es buenísimo para el desarrollo motor de los niños, ya que se tienen que combinar movimientos de brazos, piernas y ojos.

Very sturdy - can take some childish abuse like dragging a go kart around! Easy to adjust once you've managed to unscrew the ends.

I bought this for my daughter to use on their activity for school. She loved it, now she loves to skip every chance she gets outside. Great way to be active and lose weight. My only hang up is the handles which seemed like flimsy plastic, but so far, after numerous bangs and falls, it has not broke.
