What happens if I use distilled water?

Regular water has minerals in it that collects in the tank. Distilled water prevents this

What temperature level can be reached in a small sauna with the steamer?

I checked one time to be honest and it was at 110 degrees, but I was in and out because it gets really hot in there so might be more. Hopefully that helps

Can the unit be placed inside the bathroom?

In order to ensure the service life of the product, you may use it outside the bathroom. Because the size of the home bathroom is relatively large, it needs extra long-time warm-up during use. If the steam is not enough, you can try it according to the method provided in the description of the product details page.

Do you have to hook up to water source?

No, You may just put the tap water in the steamer, no more than the maximum . Sorry to hear that the lid is broken. The damage to the lid is usually caused by delivering or essential oil. In terms of transportation, we have modified the packaging plan already. On the other hand, because the essential oil is corrosive at high temperatures, suggest not to put the essential oil in the steamer to prevent the lid from breaking. Please do not worry, The loss caused by the quality of the product, we will give you a satisfied solution. Please feel free to contact us.
