Works good to power an hdd for Wii U since the Wii U doesn’t supply enough power to power it, easy to set up, and not expensive.

I used this for my WiiU, back when I actually used it a lot. it was easy to use and install, all that jazz. But its just- so strange having to see a weird conglomerate of wires sticking out of a terabyte. It's so eldritch, and kind of messy looking. but hey! The wire works and doesn't feel cheap or poor, so that's nice. 10/10.

I'm using this to power an external 5tb HDD on my "New" Atari VCS. Works as it should.

Good quality, works as expected, drive mounting and data transfer proceed without a hitch. Connections are firm and tight. Overall length is a bit too short for use with a desktop computer - it leaves the hard drive dangling. Not ideal, even with a lightweight 2-1/2" drive. The clunky but serviceable workaround is two USB extension cables, or better yet a powered USB 3 hub. Perfectly suited for a laptop, Mac Mini, or the like. On an iMac, it can rest on the desk within about a 10" radius of the ports. Note that the first USB-A plug is USB 3, the second (presumably for power only) appears to be USB 2. You could put the second one into a cheap, powered USB-2 hub, saving a USB-3 port on the computer for data. The cable needs to be about 8" longer overall, or maybe it should be two products, for laptop and desktop environments.

I’ve got nothing to complain about these splitter cables they work perfectly for Wii and Wii U storage I highly recommend If that’s why you’re looking for some.

This excellent Y-cable lets me connect to my defective WD EasyStore HDD that doesn't get recognized by Windows or Linux otherwise. I thought the drive was dead but it just needed more power. With this cable, I am able to connect right away and get good USB3-level speeds for large file transfers. Highly recommended.

This is a great cable to have, i purchase this cable set to use it on a Toshiba Canvio Connect External Hard-drive of 1TB that i got for my Nintendo Wii U. The regular cable that came with the External Hard-drive device was not getting enough power because of the WII U USB port not able to give the needed power for the hard-drive to work properly and allow it to be detected. At first i though that the External Hard-drive was busted, but after a quick plug in into my PC confirms me that the drive is working fine and it was the problem of the Wii U console's ports not able to send enough power to the drive to wok properly. So i decided to purchase this cable set for this matter and now the External Hard-drive works perfectly on the Wii U and i have not had any troubles whatsoever with it. I already transfer the game data from the console memory to the External Hard-drive, i though it would take a long time but it did it pretty fast like a couple of mins or so which is good and playing games from it i have not encounter any problems as well so it works great. fully recommend it to get this type of cable set if you are trying to make an External Hard-drive work for your Wii U console or for another device, plus since it has gold plating in it as well the cables feel very strong and not cheap.

Lo cercavo da tempo per avere un'alimentazione aggiuntiva per il mio hard disk esterno da collegare al proiettore, che da solo non riusciva a leggere il disco. Con questa presa che si collega alla corrente è perfettamente in grado di reggerlo. Difficile trovare un cavo per questo tipo di usb, quindi è stata una salvezza.

Nice handy cheap way to power a 1tb external hard drive to a Wii U. Works a treat. It’s quite short but it doesn’t really need to be longer than it is for my purpose. Does the job!

Câble parfait pour brancher un vieux disque dur HDD Touro Mobile Pro via les deux ports USB d'un décodeur TV. Sans ce câble, l'alimentation électrique sur un seul port USB n'était pas suffisante : le disque dur avait du mal à démarrer, s'éteignait inopinément ou bien c'est le décodeur qui redémarrait d'un coup. Le câble ainsi que ses prises (USB-A et MicroUSB) apparaissent robustes, avec une marge intéressante pour le câble d'alimentation si le second port USB est éloigné du premier. Je recommande !
