The Timber Press Guide to Vegetable Gardening in the Northeast (Regional Vegetable Gardening Series)

I bought several gardening books at once and this was the last to arrive.There are some really good tips, it's well written and I like the month by month aspect of it. The material of the book is really sturdy and I feel this book will last for a long time.I felt this is a good companion to the other books I have because it fills in some of the gaps but would leave me with a lot of questions if it was the only one. For instance, I want to grow spaghetti squash and pumpkins but they are combined as winter squash.Overall, it's a great purchase but if you're a new gardener like me you will want to get a few others to ensure you're properly educated before putting anything in the ground.

Really good for beginner gardeners wanting a month-by-month guide. Distills a lot of useful information into simple charts and to-do lists. Doesn't go in-depth troubleshooting garden issues, but would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to get into vegetable gardening for the first time.

Easy to read and follow! Definitely a book you can pick up and turn to the page you need. Want to know what you should be doing in June, just go to June. Fairly basic but great if you're trying to get started.

I ordered this for my son-in-law who has been gardening for just one season. Before wrapping it, I glanced through, and picked up a couple of tips that I didn't know even after years of gardening myself. I'll be borrowing it back from him this winter!

I love this book, the information is easy to navigate and very helpful. I wasn’t aware of all the off season things that could be done to help with gardening.

Still working on this one. I like the fact that it is based on my local. Hope to find many new ideas for this years garden!!!

Really nice book that outlines all that should be done during each month. Has lots of info and advice. Tips for planting different plants that maybe you werent aware could grow in the area. I live in Northern Maine and this has allot of info about my zone and planting berries/veggies etc.

I purchased this book as a gift and they loved it! This guide is great for home gardeners who are located in the midwest. Highly recommend!
