i have read many reviews about this product. what most people fail to realize is this product is from a 3rd world county. most people have tried it because Dr. Oz said to. You need to take some responsibility and do your home work and not just do what people tell you too. I hope the following list will help those looking to but this product. You need to understand an consider the following before purchasing it to see if it is for you. 1. Red palm oil solidifies at room temperature. It will not come out of the bottle unless it is warmed up. 2. IT STAINS!! this is a natural plant product from a palm and can stain clothes counter tops and more. 3. This oil IS NOT an American product therefor it will not taste like honey it has a earthy musky taste (comes from a plant) 4. You can cook with very high heat like that of fatback and or bacon grease before the oil will burn. 5. it looks like Catchup when solid and looks like blood when in liquid form. 6. It is loaded with Fat if this is not for you don't but it. 7. in my personal diet it has lowered my LDL and pushed my HDL off the testing chart. most people also don't understand if you continue to eat lots of sugars with fats your cholesterol will continue to rise no matter what you do (look it up). 8. Search the internet for Nutritional info on this product it is loaded with Vit E,it also has omega 6 and COQ10. 9. Oil of any kind (Red palm oil as well) is the most caloric dense product on the planet. If all of of the above meet your needs than you may wish to buy it. Most important do your home work. I personally love the product and use it every day. I truly enjoy the taste. I have decided to purchase from this company as this is the strongest version I can find. In closing many say this is ruining the planet by ordering it. i say to them do you eat Chocolate, Drink Coffee Eat seafood?? We as Americans tend to want what we like and go overboard Red palm oil is no different. We see something we like and latch on. If we do this responsibility we can all enjoy what we like. I initially refused to buy palm oil off Amazon because I thought it was too expensive. However, I recently realized that it costs about as much as an equivalent size of extra virgin olive oil. If you live in a place with a good African store, you'll likely find palm oil for cheaper, but it works if those are hard to come by. This is a good oil, with no off flavors or smells. Would buy again. EDITED TO ADD: I'm cracking up at some of the reviews I'm reading. This is way past the time Dr. Oz touted red palm oil on TV, but here are some facts for those who might be new to using palm oil in the hope that they use the product properly and not give it an undeserved one star. Red palm oil is one of two plant oils with a high saturated fat content, the other being coconut oil. And just like coconut oil, red palm oil is solid or semi-solid at room temperature or below. That does not mean the product is bad, or that it comes in the wrong bottle. To get the oil flowing, either stand the bottle in hot water, or leave it for several minutes under a tap running warm water. NO NEED TO CUT THE BOTTLE WITH A KNIFE.

I have been using it for a week; and I'm pleased with this product. I research many products to determnie its quality. I am feel comfitable that this product is the real thing. I have used it every day for making my omlettes and stir fry dishes; and pleased with the taste. The palm oil (high in antioxidents and tocotrienols) is helpful in preventing free radicals from running rapid through our bodies as well as helping clear plaque within our arteries. The palm oil and coconut oil (virgin organic) permit you to fry at a higher temperture than other oils that will turn rancid when heated, but the conconut oil has only a small amount of tocotrienol. The taste is different, but health benefits surpass the acquired taste.

This review is strictly for West Africans in the US that need a good quality palm oil to cook local dishes. I was initially very hesitant because of the reviews were mixed and I knew the only way was to try it. I have made meals like ogbono, Okro, Egusi and porridge beans. All of which passed the test excellently. The smell is not pungent but right enough to give the necessary flavor and color to the meals It also does not leave a weird after taste that a lot of the other brands I have tried here do. Because if it’s quality, it tends to thicken during the cold months and you will need to warm it up in a bowl of hot water to be able to use it. So if you are looking for a good quality palm oil to make your dishes, this works very well. Period.

My wife's eye doctors thought she'd need a cataract operation in a few months, but taking a tablespoon of this stuff per day seems to have delayed it for 4 years. Sample size of one, and your mileage may vary, but it seems to have helped her.
