So far so good! Great value if you buy a non custom shade. Holds up in semi strong winds so far.
These are really good so far. I purchased 3 and they overlap slightly to block sun on one side of my house. They filter the light well enough to not heat up the windows or walls nearly as much as without these. I would say an easy 40 degrees or so cooler on the window glass on my interior after installing these. As far as durability goes, so far they have been great. Although, this is going to be the first summer they will be in. It will be interesting to see how they hold up in the hot California sun all summer. I tend to not update these reviews, so honestly the summer heat and sun will be the ultimate test! But for the price I paid for these... about $25 each, you really cannot go wrong. The materials and design are built sturdy like other reviewers have stated, it's true! Nice metal rings with strong stitching and the fabrics they use for the main sail and the corners and edges are all made with strength and durability in mind. No issues with build quality so far. Make sure all of your mounting points allow you to pull the corners of the sail very tight. I am using a 750 lb test paracord to string these to 8 inch galvanized eyehole lag bolts into a clay hill side, and roof eve screws with anchors and brackets (from a kit for this on amazon), and you can pull the paracord super tight. I have one paracord run going over 20 feet and there is very little sag I have pulled it so tight, and it is holding just fine! These look pretty ratty when they are not pulled tight. But once tight, they look really nice like at a high end resort pool area or something. Very cool, literally!

Good quality
Great! Provides enough shade and good quality. Have had for a couple years now. No tears. The metal rings did get rusty, but that’s expected.

Beautiful and Functional
I used these windscreens on my balcony. I love the colors and they do a nice job providing some shade in the hot summer months. I had these up for three years. At the end of the third summer they started to tear. One tore slightly and the rest were faded and had a few small tears in them. The first two years I had them I kept them up year round and the third year I took them down in winter. I think if I had done that the first two years they may have lasted a bit longer. I used eyelets and carabiners to hang them up. We get quite a bit of wind hear and they never came down. I loved theses so much I am going to order them again. Keep in mind I don't think they are intended to last more than three to five years depending on what type of weather you get in your area. I hung these South facing so they received quite a bit of sun. Also keep in mind red and orange fade faster than other colors. I have two red and two orange.

SUPER AMAZING
I was not quite sure what to expect because I've only ever used umbrellas, however I live in a very hot but VERY WINDY area. In the past 3 years I've gone through 3 umbrellas. Even expensive ones would not hold up and I was sick of dumping money into them, so thought I would try this instead. Bought to use on the sideof my house over my pool. My first impression was at how heavy and durable the fabric seems and seems to be reinforced very well! It's beautiful, I bought it in beige, and it is gorgeous, it actually has a subtle gold sparkle, which i LOVE and didn't show in pix online. A few things 1. You really need at least 2-3 people to help with placement and hanging to make sure it's done correctly. 2. The rope it comes with for me was not enough and was too thick and slick 3. I anchored 2 sides to the side of my house, under the eaves and the other side to my fence post using sturdy hardware to anchor and metal carabeaner hooks for easy takedown and to make more sturdy. * if I did it again I would recommend ratchet straps, honestly I think that would be easiest to adjust and take down, but hind sight outta always 20/20!:) So far, I haven't had any extreme wind, so still have to see how it holds up, only had up fora few days So far, this is awesome and much preferred to umbrella! Light color so still lets light thru but provides very nice shade! I wouldn't think twice about buying again! Highly recommend!!!!

Not expecting it to last long.
It meets all of the specifications in the description, but I would say it is 'fabric' in only the most technical sense. Feels like a plastic tarp when you handle it. It has a three year warranty but I would be surprised if it makes it half that, even with me taking it down for a the winter. Okay for what it is, but I won't be looking to buy it again.

Does the job by shading the deck at different times of the day.
Durable and serves a purpose. Works well when the sun is fully out and shades the deck.

Great value for a shade Canopy.
5 stars for value, this worked for a shade for our Koi and plants. Lets the rain through, shades our Koi and "so far" has ridden through several Midwestern storms with no issues. The supplied rope is too short to be of any value so throw it away and you can buy all the hardware necessary to anchor it down at the local hardware store. Each installation is going to vary in its requirements anyway so you might as well figure out exactly what you need and get it locally after you get the Canopy. Things to think about... - type and length of rope, stay away from stretchable rope like cotton. - best anchor type for the surface your connecting to - how high off the ground do you need to not be in the way (higher is better) - do you need to construct anchor points, e.g. do I need to put down a posts in the ground or can I build off something else. In my picture I was able to extend a corner fence post for a connection point after laying it out. - Maintenance, you will need to occasionally tighten the ropes or store for winter, how easy is this done? (FYI - mine has been up for two months now and have not had to adjust) Even though we had the dimensions prior to ordering it seemed to work out better to lay it out to see where the connections points should go to best keep the canopy taunt. We actually changed our mind after we could see it in place moved it around to find the best angle, height and where to connect. 16 foot does not seem as large and imagined, should have gone with the 18 footer, but that's my fault. I like it and recommend it.

Strong, good quality
Used for shade on our Pickleball court. Strong material with heavy grommets; we used straps and encl hardware to hang it and it has held up well.
