Does this product fit a 2011 Chevy Avalanche?

I'm not sure. It did fit an 2011 Chevy Silverado. Its a lot better than the one that came with the truck.

Will this latch work on the lower center console computer storage with lock.

This latch will not work on the lower center console sorry

this looks different... will it fit or work on a gmc yukon slt model in the front console in between driver and front passenger seat?

In regards to your question, there are 3 different types of latches for these truck's and suv's. If you are unsure of your application you can click on any of the images on the listing, the very last image on the bottom right corner will show you the actual console this latch attaches to. If your console looks any different design wise regardless of color this latch will not work for your application.
