Synology Sparepart Adapter 100W Level VI 100W_2, Storage server, 14-060054339 (100W_2, Storage server, Black, DS410j, DS412+, DS411+II, DS409+, DS411j, DS411+, DS410, DS413j, DS409,)

So, after a number of years, my Synology DS413 NAS completely died just over a week ago.As an ex-Electronic Engineer, it was clear to me that either something internal had completely failed or the external power adaptor had died.If the former, then I was in big, big trouble as the DS413 was EOL and it was fairly unlikely that spare parts would be easily available to fix it (once I had found out what the problem really was), or if the latter, then perhaps I could source a new power adaptor?A quick bit of checking showed that Synology had brought out a newer version of the power adaptor for this (and many other) of their NAS drive units, immediately suggesting that it was likely that there had been reliability issues with their previous (original) version...The new version did appear to be available from a number of suppliers (including Amazon) and the attached reviews did suggest that previous purchasers had indeed experienced the failure of their original external power supply.However, the new (replacement) unit was coming in at a ridiculous price - more than £80 - as compared with other seeming 'copies', which were priced at about £25.As the data on the drives in this NAS was important to me and the previous unit (may have) failed, I decided to 'bite the bullet' and go for the expensive OEM unit on this occasion (once taxes and delivery were factored in, this unit from Amazon came in at about the same price as units from other suppliers).The unit (which did arrive earlier than expected) was marked-up as being an OEM unit from Synology (if you can believe the markings...), but without any 'Kettle' lead for the UK (or for any other country, for that matter) - however, this didn't matter too much, as it was highly unlikely that this would be the cause of any failure (and would cost very little to fix if it was).So I very quickly plugged in the new unit for the old one (using the original 'Kettle' lead) and... hey presto ... the NAS booted back-up normally and came fully back to life (minus a bit of Metadata for the videos I had on there), so this was very pleasing.However, I do think that charging more than £80 for an external power adaptor is simply a rip-off price - the suppliers are very much taking advantage of the rarity factor and the end-users' needs here. For that reason, I can only give this item 3 stars here.Now, I just have to decide how to better protect the important data held on my (supposedly) bullet-proof NAS...

This is a genuine OEM replacement for the original. These power supplies have about a 5 year life, so if your Synology system is approaching this age then buying a spare is money well spent.

Das Netzteil meiner Synology NAS DS918+ hat sich am letzten Wochenende nach 6 Jahren Betrieb verabschiedet. Da ich mit Netzteilen anderer Hersteller aus China keine Experimente machen wollte, habe ich das Original-Synology-Netzteil bestellt. AGEM.CZ war einer der wenigen, die schnell liefern konten.Betreffend anderer Netzteile aus China liest man ebenfalls positive Rezensionen. Diese sind deutlich günstiger und schneller lieferbar. Das Original-Netzteil kommt vermutlich ebenfalls aus China.

O adaptador é igual ao original e vem com selo da Synology e tudo mas há adaptadores muito mais baratos que funcionam na mesma. Não se justifica o preço. Só mesmo para quem quer ficar de consciência tranquila.
