AIRHEAD BREAHTHRU Widebody Trainers - We call these skis BREAKTHRU, because youโll learn how to deep water start and the basics of water skiing quickly and easily. They feature an oversized profile, parabolic side cut, tapered tail and comfortable adjustable bindings. The stabilizer bar keeps the 47โ long skis steady while the student is learning to ski. Fiberglass reinforced nylon rudders increase stability and tracking. Designed for skiers under 100 lbs. The adjustable bindings fit child size 12 to adult size 5. Review: water ski for beginners - this product did not fit my 7th grader because its foot size was too small. It will be used for his younger siblings. Product needs a better adjustable foot bracket. Review: Cheap, but that is both good & bad - These are cheap, as in relatively inexpensive, but also cheaply made. We use them only intermittently with children who will obviously eventually grow out of them. So, the cheap quality is fine with us in exchange for a low price. If your kids will be more regular users (more than about once a month), I would get something of higher quality and spend a little more money. However, if you are like us and use them only a few times in the Summer months, then these will be fine.

These trainer skis are great and the kids will love them if your boat has enough HP to get them up.I tried them with a Bayliner 195 with 135hp engine and none of the kids got up easily. When we used them on a Bayliner 225 with 220hp engine both my 7yr old and 9yr old got up on the 1st try. One thing I was able to do different with the bigger boat was a gradual acceleration to get them up. With the smaller boat we were trying to gun the engine after the tow rope was tight and didnt have much success. With the bigger boat we just gradually accelerated after the rope was tight and they popped right up. My face hurt from smiling and laughing so much and the kids had a blast too. The one area that the skis could improve on is the adjustment on the length of rope from the tow bar to grab bar that the child holds isnt easily adjustable. I just made some knots to make the rope the correct length but it should be easier to adjust. Also it would be nice if you could disconect the tow rope from the tow bar so that you can keep the bar on the skis and use a traditional tow rope that attaches to the boat. You can leave just the bar on the skis without the tow rope but you have to untie all your knots and its not easy.

These performed well, until they broke apart, as in apart from each other. The skis themselves are still intact. My husband can fix them, but for the price you should be able to use these without them breaking apart after the 5th time.

SUPER AWESOME LEARNER SKIIS FOR KIDS
Kids learned to ski in just a few tries. This is a great starter ski package! Way way worth it. Takes the frustration out so the kids can gain some confidence getting up easily!

Cheaply made and no instructions
We are trying to teach our 9 year old to ski - these were a good size for her and the bar that holds them together is nice at keeping them the correct distance apart. The skis are cheaply made - but we figured they may be since they were some of the cheaper ones we looked at. They get nicks in them pretty easily when knocked against anything. These skis come with a bar and a trainer rope. We didn't know what to do with the trainer rope so we searched and watched youtube videos. We still aren't sure if we used it properly. Overall - good to for a child to start learning to ski but would graduate into something better once they get the hang of it.

Our three year old little grand Daughter tried the skies and they worked really well for her. She is still learning and I think she will get the hang of it quickly. She has only tried them once so far but willing to try again!!
